This easily makes my top 5 list of carrot cake stalls in Singapore. The black carrot cake (white is good too) is so delicious with generous amount of cai po (preserved turnip). The stall owner is super friendly too!
Famous parents. Or famous son, depending on your perspective. One of the joys here is how nice the stallholders are. Another is the price. Both colours definitely better than your average carrot cake.
Usually I don’t really like black carrot cake (don’t judge me yet) - due to the sweetness of the black sauce and making it overly jelat after a few mouth. But this my Friend, it was just of the right amount of sweetness, savoury-ness and Super Super fragrant! Love that extra big piece of eggs fried within those moist carrot cake!
Located at a coffeeshop in a quiet part of Ang Mo Kio, this fried carrot cake stall has always featured in many top 10 lists. The black carrot cake is yummy with generous amounts of cai po. Prices are $2.50, $3 & $4.
They are usually open from 3pm / 4pm onwards all the way till midnight, so it is not a breakfast or lunch place.
Also, the stall owner is the father of the infamous blogger Roy Ngerng!
Black carrot cake as it is very fragrant and moist. Each piece of carrot cake is so soft with aromatic charred edges.

For just $2 you can get carrot cake! Or top up a $1 for an extra egg and for $3 get a huge plate of fried carrot cake! I've been patronizing this stall for a decade and the food is still up to standards! The smell of his carrot cake is irresistible, do note that he is closed on Wednesdays and weekends
