($2) Even I did takeaway instead of dine in and the roti prata turned soggy and chewy texture.
($1.30) high recommendation from google as one of the popular roti prata. Even I did takeaway instead of dine in and the roti prata remained the same as crispy and crunchy texture.
About 6-7 dishes @ $8.50
Nicely done, got cow lungs also.
Sauce is good, a bit sweet and not spicy.
Chicken briyani @ $7
+ veggie @ $1
The chicken is buried under the mountain of rice. Not bad, quite standard. Curry is nice but cracker became soft after a while. Chicken a bit dry but good with the curry. Both sides alr filled with curry but still not enough and asked for extra.
Simple and good.
Left: onion prata @ $1.70
Right: bomb cheese @ $3.20
Extremely satisfying, both prata and curry.
Surprised by the sambal chilli which is sweet.
Only thing is the bomb cheese is not really bomb, more like normal cheese prata which would have been $2.50.
Still thinking about them 7 hours after having them, good sign that I'll definitely be back.
Ever since tasting the paper-thin, super crispy prata at Chindamani, every other stall seems to pale in comparison. Still, Al Falah makes a pretty decent prata and having served the nearby residents for over a decade, I'd still pop by if I'm nearby and in the mood for prata.
Al Falah's ๐ฃ๐น๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ฎ is crispy on the outside and, being rather thick and doughy, fluffy inside. Such a texture should satisfy most prata aficionados, but what distinguishes it is that Al Falah always provides two types of gravy, served in a metal plate along with the prata in separate compartments.ย ย
The curry gravy -- quite good, btw -- is standard at all prata stalls, whereas the red-coloured chilli-based gravy is unique. It was redolent of ikan bilis and had a sweet-spicy profile. It seemed to be sweeter than the last time I was here, so I didn't like it as much this time.
I also had a serving of ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฐ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ป,ย which looked enticing. The meat was too tough for my liking, though. But for crispy, fluffy prata with unique gravy-pairing, Al Falah is a good choice.
