The soup version comed with tau kee, 3 meatballs, minced pork and 2 wantons. Mee kia was on the soft side. The soup was like normal fishball noodle soup. Nothing special except it being in a claypot. For the price point, it is ok. Not sure why I did not get the sugar cane discount voucher haha

Another wet day another warm soup for meal. This noodle stall at Maxwell Food Centre attracted people for their affordable price.

They are popular for their claypot style of serving, so you could enjoy it warm for extended time.

The signature bak chor mee comes with wanton and minced meat. The soup consider a clean type without too much of flavour, although the noodle do have a stronger alkaline.

- Signature Claypot Bak Chor Mee (Dry) 自創砂鍋麵🍜

Quite disappointed for the bcm was lacking that hint of black vinegar, all I tasted of was just chilli and a bit of soya sauce.

On top of that, the overpowering pork lard, and mushy meepok (probably cos constant warming in the claypot), just made this meal a little surfeiting to stomach.

The minced meat balls and wantons were alright, decent.

The portion was quite small, made me feel like getting a dessert or something to fill my stomach and to clear my palate…hmm…

Observed queue during lunch hr, and the uncle was very friendly, maybe the bcm didn’t make it to the std that day or maybe the soup one do better than the dry one, I’m not sure but well…

Damage: $4.50

The uncle that served us was so cheerful & lovely, though! & with each bowl purchased, you get a 30¢ off coupon for sugarcane from the drinks stall a few stalls down at #01-08, which I ended up using. So that mitigated the less-than-desirable experience here..

Had high hopes for Ah Gong BCM - I mean, claypot BCM sounds quite heavenly.. But the soup was super salty, & I wasn't the only one who felt this way.

Ingredients in the Signature Claypot Bak Chor Mee ($4.50) were not bad - minced pork, pork balls, dumplings & fish maw slices. But the soup... I can't. I'm sorry. I'm hoping this was just an off day.

Back at Ah Gong Minced Pork Noodles (Maxwell Food Centre #01-02) to try the soup version of Signature Bak Chor Mee ($4.50), and I prefer this over the dry version👍🏻 The soup is full of flavour and together with the handmade wanton, meatballs, pork skin and minced meat, it makes a really hearty and comforting bowl of noodles. Delicious!
