Found this homely and affordable Taiwanese cuisine at the basement of Paya Lebar Square. Their braised pork rice packed with generous braised pork, veggie and half egg.
Not really a big portion for me, but suitable for people who donβt want to eat too much.
Top up $1 and you can get a cup of drink suck as the wintermelon.
At 5 Little Bears, a humble eatery nestled in the basement of Paya Lebar Square, you can get classic Taiwanese dishes such as lu rou fan, beef noodles and all the golden brown crispy snacks such as chicken chop, mushrooms and sweet potato fries. Definitely a hidden gem that serves authentic, non pretentious food.

Lurou Fan ($5) and Pork Cutlet Bento ($7.50). Homely and tasted good, I'll return whenever I'm craving simple Taiwanese fare. Tried their Fried Mushrooms too but didn't like them.
Our usual go to mee sua is out of stock so we tried this today. Nicely seasoned with the right amount of beef, vege and noodle. Will come back again.
The only down side is seats are limited. So be ready to wait.
Had sweet potato fries ($3) & XL Chicken Chop ($4.80). I find the chicken is quite fatty and lack of meat. However, the sweet potato is quite flavourful.
The soup of the Beef Noodles ηΊ’η§ηθι’ ($8.50) is surprisingly sweet and herbaceous. The beef, which consists of meat and tendon, is tender. Not bad!
