I got the Radiatori pasta + white clams + black lumpfish caviar + capers in pink sauce and it came up to be $20.40 which is honestly not too bad la.

However I did feel that they were really stingy with the pink sauce? I could barely taste it and was desperately trying to find sauce to coat my pasta with. I have to say the pasta is interesting with a good bite to it. But I doubt I will return anytime soon la.

Was really excited to try out this place but honestly it was pretty disappointing. I thought the price point is ok but their serving is really small.

Nothing much to shout about. If there’s no queue and you’re nearby is ok but we had to wait 30min on a Thursday evening - probably not worth the wait for me. One thing to note is that their chilli flakes are really a little spicy.

Looks like a very unassuming place but I dare say that this could be one of the best pork leg rice I’ve had in Singapore. Even the veg at the side complemented the rice and pork so well! Relatively affordable for grub in town - only complaint I have is that if only they had more veg!

Mexico by Day, Lebanon by Night ($42)
Wish I was a Baller ($42)
Buffalo wings ($28)

Pizzas felt almost fried. It’s not really a fluffy bread nor a thin crispy crust. I guess it’s highly dependent on individual preferences! I do enjoy their flavours and generally tastes great but I remember that day being a little on the saltier side.

They have zichar options and also set combo for individual portions. It ranges from $7.90 to $9.90 for combos from one dish to 2 dishes. I got the $9.90 as I wanted to try their other dishes and also 2 seafood sides for zichar is quite reasonable at $9.90 imo!

Absolutely love the chilli squid and sambal stingray. The stingray is probably the most popular dish there. It's spicy but I like that they actually add black bean sauce to it so it's really interesting! I would like to have more sauce though. It's also quite a big piece!

The squid was also very well cooked and the sauce is sedap! It's a little on the sweeter side and the gravy goes so well with rice.

Will return!

I paid almost $25 for these three sets.
Price list and menu can be found on their IG.

I am not usually a huge nasi lemak fan as I'm not that great with spicy food. Their sambal is definitely on the spicier side (even for my family who can take spicy).

The rice has a strong whiff of lemongrass but I don't quite taste/smell the pandan. I do like lemongrass so it's ok for me but I guess it really personal preference.

I enjoyed the fried eggs though. Because my friend who got it for me were there at 8am a few items were not available hence I did not manage to try several items which I wanted to.

But from what I've tasted and it's quite a distance from where I live, I don't think I will make a trip specially down but I might try again if I'm in the vicinity.

15.90 for the double +$4 for the set and an additional $1 for the truffle mayo drizzle.

Waffle fries were delicious and especially with the truffle mayo it was definitely yum. But $1 for that drizzle feels a little like a luxury for me. I am not sure if i will go for it again even though I do quite enjoy it.

Their burger is pretty big which makes it quite value for money but unfortunately it paled in comparison to the other burgers I've had recently. (more on reviews up on IG @canihaveabitepls)

Not the best picture but a pretty decent burger. I visited the branch at Novena and it was completely empty at 6.30pm on a weekday.

Ordered and food arrived quickly. It was surprisingly still pretty good and juicy despite a 1 hour train ride home. It was a little messy, bun was a little squashed but otherwise I do feel like the patty was done well and pretty well seasoned. The condiments was also in a good balance.

Not the most wow but it’s decent!

I can’t remember the price but I do remember getting all confused over the cuts and platters available.

The meats were really really good but I do find them a little on the pricey side. I have included a more detailed review on my ig: @canihaveabitepls

Visited Hup Hup at 80 Circuit Rd for their Mee Siam.

It's a quiet level two food centre with the first level being a wet market. It seems to be one of the very few popular stalls in the food court and surprisingly quiet for a weekend.

$3 for this plate of goodness and their mee siam tastes slightly different from the usual ones. Their noodles are the orange type of beehoon - not sure what's the difference but it seems softer? The sauce is also a lot more peanutty in taste and has a strong taste of the lime.

I quite like it but I doubt that I will return just for it. Perhaps if I'm in the vicinity. 7/10

We got a dry and a soup version. Reached about 1130am and only got served at 12pm thereabout. Would encourage to come earlier cos we were not able to dabao more packets due to limited supply. Many people were also turned away cos they were sold out. Unless you're a friend of the owners of course, he will try to 'squeeze' some bowls out for you.

The noodle and soup serving were small. But I've heard that if you come on a weekday morning they are a lot more generous. I have yet to try that yet. The soup in the soup version is a lot more watered down. I really enjoyed the thick broth on it's on. First taste it has a really strong shallots (I think?) Taste to me. It was gao but still light in a sense like it's not greasy or thick. Yummy, only a pity that it's a very very small bowl.

$8 for a bowl each is slightly on the pricier side for sure but definitely I think the scarcity makes me want to pay for it. Will definitely return!

Came to celebrate a birthday. $100 for a sushi set lunch is very value for money. We left feeling stuffed.

Overall I wouldnt say it's the best - it remains as Shinji for us. More common fish here and some of the similar fish weren't as mind-blowing as shinji for some reason. I guess there is really a difference in the preparation of raw fish.

Our favourites were the hotate, jack mackerel and young shrimp. The latter two are more interesting and I haven't had them before.

The uni and ikura bowl were generous and definitely made the whole set vfm cos uni is so expensive nowadays!

Would I return? I'm a little on the fence as its definitely an enjoyable experience but I wasn't like surprised like I did with others. But for $100 and a great meal and great time. Yes for sure.
