Formerly known as Serangoon Nasi Padang, this famous hawker stall is helmed by Uncle Tan and Auntie Cheong who have been cooking nasi padang since 1983. We had BBQ Chicken ($4) and other dishes. Grilled to crispy golden exterior, this boneless chicken has been their signature dish since 1983 ๐Ÿฅบ The chicken is marinated with 17 different spices and is a must try! ๐Ÿซถ

Overall, quite a variety of affordable yet delicious dishes. If youโ€™re up for a treat, try their Sedap Omakase Sets (SOS) that is exclusively available on weekends. Worth the travel โœจ

Apart from the boneless fish served with Nonya curry ๐ŸŸ we also tried the sweet-tangy achar, BBQ sotong and sambal kang kong.

Spice lovers, donโ€™t forget to add a dollop of sambal into your plate! Their sambal definitely packs a punch ๐Ÿ”ฅ

For vegetables, we had the ladyโ€™s fingers and brinjal ๐Ÿ† wok fried with homemade sambal belacan. Apart from this, you can also choose from stir-fried spinach, cabbage, long beans and begedil (though weโ€™d recommend visiting earlier for more choices) ๐Ÿฅฌ

This rice bowl comes with a mini mountain of bonito flakes. Hidden beneath that is an onsen egg topped with ikura, tobiko and sesame seeds. Quite a generous portion and best for sharing since it does get surfeiting.
