Ginger garlic thyme butter sauce with pine nuts? Yup, sold. The prawn filling and nicely slippery smooth wanton wrapper makes a very good ravioli, but seriously, the sauce is king. If you don't know what to order here, this is it. I know I'll be back for this.
Tried this at their newest outlet located at Bukit Timah Plaza, yay near to school. Love the smooth shaved ice and chewy rice cakes in it which gives a unique texture. One bingsu place off my list, many more to go 💦
It was a bacon feast at OMB! The friendly Bacon ambassador David introduced us all the popular dishes and toured us around the boutique/cafe at Dunlop St. We tried almost everything on the menu and indeed they had bacon in almost every dish from starters and desserts! Our fav had to be the bacon and egg cup($12). My friends tried the bacon bomb($28) and beef burger($17) and they liked it! One thing worth mentioning is their carbonara($15), non-creamy version so makes it easy to finish on your own without feeling gelat. Personally I enjoyed the BLT candid sandwich($15) very much too, the mayo spread on the candid bacon with fresh greens make a good combination.
Dessert was awesome too, their cheese cake($5) is similar to Japanese style, and the rich bacon brownie with bacon bits and bacon icecream($9) created fireworks in my mouth. I could do without the bacon ice cream since it didn't really taste salty like bacon. Jekyll and Hyde is bacon coated with white or dark chocolate which IMO is over priced and not impressive. I will choose brownie over this anytime :p
Second try today and scored these crispy pratas at 0945am within 5-10 mins!!! They tend to be sold out at 1130am so you need to be early! While it was good - crisp prata without being too doughy, I wouldn't really wait too long for it!! Their fish curry and sambal chilli was a very good combination too 👌
This veritable institution for wan tan noodles in Joo Chiat has a meatball noodle dish that's worth checking out. For $6, you get 6 large balls of minced meat that's been mixed with finely-chopped carrots, onions and Chinese parsley before being fried till fragrant. A great supper option if you aren't watching your waistline.
This is a plate piled with Duck Meat, Eggs, Tofu, Liver and Beansprouts. And mind you, this is a two person portion:P #duck #lunch #brunch #asian #streetfood #hk
Opened by the same people who started Lola's hence they have almost similar menus. The signature chicken wings which was crispy and tender with the honey glazed sauce. Fried with truffle mayo. Very generous with the portion! Ultimate croissant with screamed egg and Ham was good. We had seafood Agio olio with fresh and juicy prawns. Salmon and mushroom truffle cream was one of my fav dish but good for sharing as it may be gelat after a few mouth. Creamy but flavorful with a dash of truffle that brings out the aroma.
Thai milk tea ice wam with match sauce to match with the thick and fluffy toast, it was a good substitute for after you (but after you is still the best)
Favourite truffle wedges, a Farley big portion for sharing but faster finger wins!
Food was slightly disappointing. Duck confit was a little tough.
Succulent mangalica pork cheeks that melts in your mouth, it may get gelat after a while but the portion is just right. Well seasoned and baked pork belly, too sinful but too difficult to say no. Fine dining at a more affordable price.
Best churros ever. The churros that taste great even after leaving it for a while. Crispy and chewy and not too flour-ish. Matching chocolate sauce was just perfect!
