Delicious Waffles And Fries Ordered the 忘不了waffles and truffle fries via pick-up today. The waffles go very well with the condensed milk and maple syrup. It is crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The truffle fries are fragrant and it is enough to serve 2 to 3 people.

忘不了 Waffle w/ Ice Cream Another notable dish is their 忘不了 Waffle, a mix of classic, red & blue velvet with condensed milk, parmesan cheese & melted marshmallows topped with an ice cream of your choice. Loved the combination of crispy, sweet and savoury in this dessert!

Mala Mac & Cheese ($15.90) Cheesy oven baked elbow pasta simmered in mala sauce with mushroom and bacon topped with half boiled egg and parmesan cheese. This was so damn delicious, that we finished the whole bowl within minutes! With the stringy and salty melted cheese, the spicy mala added another dimension of flavour to the dish. you mian ($4) the flavour of the soup and texture of the noodle was alright. ikan bilis was crispy and minced meat was flavourful. it was an interesting twist to add in chye poh in the dish. bonus points for using mani cai over other veggies though. the green chilli was also an interesting twist and gave the dish a quirky kick. however, I wouldn't wait over an hour for this bowl of you mian again. the wait was too long and I personally felt that it was not worth the long wait.

Mee Hoon Kueh Soup ($4) Their handmade mee hoon kueh is thinner than most I’ve tried - theirs resembled ravioli sheets. They were soft and slippery, but still retained a bite; great texture! They also use mani cai, which has natural sweetness. The ikan bilis is crisp and salty, and the meatball well seasoned and tender! Soup was light but savoury, it was pretty good! Theirs is less robust than China Whampoa’s soup, but I still enjoyed it :)

Curry Chicken Noodle A comforting bowl of curry chicken noodles served with a generous amount of poached chicken, potatoes, fishcake, tau pok, bean sprouts, and pig skin. The curry gravy is rich in flavours with the right consistency, not too rich or lemak. It was fragrant, light and not too oily which makes it very drinkable. The chicken was moist and tender, goes well with the well-balanced curry gravy and not forgetting how the tau pok and pig skin soaked up the goodness from the curry 🤤 》$7 / Large

Ckn drumstick rice 5.5nett This place screams nostalgia. The rice had a nostalgic taste, with mild flavour and slight stickiness that made it endlessly addictive, even on its own Chili was alright, abit sweet. Chicken was well done but nothing too noteworthy. The sauce is very mild and there's a lot of ckn oil. And the soup just tastes like childhood. It's almost exactly the same taste as chicken macaroni soup. Come for nostalgia and the rice, otherwise get their stellar curry ckn noodles

Curry ckn 5nett portion Tbh this is satisfying enough, 6 nett would be abit much Rightfully celebrated, this is a stellar bowl. Super, super lemak and their chicken is good too. The taupok were especially flavourfully, it's a joy. Worth a try even amongst the other good places at golden mile

Mee Hoon Kueh Soup ($5) Their mhk was decent, has some bite to it but it’s not the thicc and chewy types. Go for the youmian instead, it’s the nicest to me! As usual, the highlight is their soup which is sooo good. It has a wonderful natural sweetness from the seafood and pork. Soup > dry for me! Love that they use mani cai too. It comes with 2 large juicy prawns.

Ban Mee w Fish & Meatball I just decided to order fish w ban mee ($6) and ban mee was slightly hard to chew through but fish is just freshly made tbh and not much smelly taste.

Pork Ban Mee w Veg Soup Pork Ban Mee with Vegetable Soup ($3) finally tried another famous ban mee located at whampoa food centre. I felt that their ban mee was slightly thick and a bit hard tbh but the minced pork ball was quite chewy and not that hard.

Le Entrecote Steak As requested, the steak was done medium well. One will expect the beef to be tougher at medium well, but le entrecote's was smooth, chewy and you literally feel the meat dissolving as you bite. This is really one of the best steaks in singapore. The mustard savoury gravy was excellent with the beef. Another attraction is the free flow fries but do note that sharing of the free flow chips are not allowed.

Decent Steak & Frites Service was surprisingly good. Lady boss was offering us more complimentary fries, even though the steak already came with alot of fries. Steak was decent and cooked to medium-rare as per our preference. With that said, the cut isn't a good steak cut, so it was alot more chewy than we would have preferred. Would definitely go back again with Burpple Beyond 1-for-1 🙂 Rating: 3.5 / 5

Trimmed Entrecôte Steak It was a shame that I only made an effort to come down to try this often-mentioned Trimmed Entrecôte Steak (S$34.90) a few days before they wind up their business at Glasshouse by DHM. And the good thing was that I did not regret the decision to visit. Rather than calling it a dish, I would prefer to say that it was like a set, with a plate of walnut and greens salad served before the star of the night. The team really made an effort to inform the distinction of courses as two sets of cutleries were placed on the placemat. And then came the steak, which was already cut into parts for a more effortless consumption. The interesting part was actually the legendary secret sauce that tasted quite intense but with a mildly sour finish, and that proved to give the steak a little more flavour. Too much sauce? Impossible, because they would all become the “dipping sauce” for the huge pile of fries that came along. Best part of the meal, would probably be that this set of items were eligible for Burpple Beyond deals! #BurppleBeyond
