Food OK. Meat (chicken and pork) was tender. Didn't try the beef.
But the portion of vegetable was miserable when we added. $2.40 for few leaves. Lol
Foie Gras was good. We had 2 portions.
Service was good for coffee shop.

Hardly half a year since we featured their first Kovan spot in July's Newly Opened guide, this coffeeshop mookata by Mediacorp actors Chew Chor Meng and Dennis Chew has expanded to a second location, this time in Bishan. Both outlets keep to the brand's no frills, heartland-dining vibe, making this one of our top choices for super laid-back Thai barbecue-steamboat. Also, they open till midnight on weekdays and till 2am on weekends — perfect for supper! Get the Standard Platter for 2 ($26), which comes with a good selection of meats including prawns, mussels, scallops, mussels, pork collar and belly and chicken thigh, along with veggies. There's also been a lot of praise from the Burpple community about their chilli sauces. Burppler wanderingmonkeyy shares that they offer two types, and that the spicier one goes best with the meats.

Pro tip: We heard they fill up really quickly at dinnertime, so go slightly before or after peak dining hours to avoid the queue.

Realized it’s a bbq & steamboat combi. I had tt kind of pot at home last time 🤔 Value for money I’d say, but I prefer a bigger area for the steamboat portion

Open by Local Mediacorp Celebrities, Chew Chor Meng & Zhou Chongqing! They have set menu for 2 or 4 pax, mushroom/veg/meat platter or even ala-carte! They give generous, big pork lard for you to stir fry the wok before you start BBQ your foods! Plenty of varieties to choose from and we love their marinated chicken & Pork, it’s so flavourful and tasty! Soup is great too, not too salty! We ordered th set for 2 pax ($26) & i feel that th soup is abit too bland for liking. Would be better if th meat was marinated more as well. Not th best mookata i have ever eaten. Service here was good but probably not coming back anymore 👍🏻 2/5 📍 Kovan mrt #yybffkovan
