Now this is one hidden gem in town you need to go to! Despite being located just a stone throw away from orchard central, the prices, quality and portions were all really good šŸ˜ Here were some of my favourites:

Deep Fried Chicken with Garlic ($8.50) - this is one of the best renditions I've had from a Thai restaurant. The batter was light and crispy, and the chicken inside stayed really moist and flavourful. This was extremely addictive šŸ˜

Deep Fried Sliced Fish with Sweet and Sour Sauce ($16) - the fish slices were flaky and super crispy šŸ˜ absolutely loved the sauce as it was tangy, making it not too surfeiting. A very good dish to order to share!

Olive Fried Rice ($8.50) - I loved how the rice was not clumpy and filled with savoury fermented olive flavour and some smokiness. The portion was pretty huge so you can order this to share!

All the dishes ordered were hits šŸ„¹ I can't believe I only know of this place now! Definitely coming back to try other dishes šŸ˜

You could find lots of Thai restaurants around Somerset and Orchard, but 87 Just Thai is consider one that served affordable Thai foods along Killiney Road.

A short walk from Somerset MRT Station, their Thai foods catered to either groups or individuals.

For individual portion, they have wide range of rice and noodle items on the menu.

Their tomyam fried rice definitely flavourful and not too spicy for me. Comes with few pieces of squids and prawns.

While the fried rice already cooked together with egg, you also can addon another piece of fried egg as well.

A strong craving for tom yum soup leads us to 87 Just Thai. A stone's throws away from Somerset MRT, this eatery serves authentic yet affordable Thai dishes like PFC aka Pandan Fried Chicken ($8) and Claypot Tang Hoon with Prawns ($14).

Unlike the other places, their version isnā€™t wrapped in pandan leaves but deep-fried till golden brown crust and has a satisfying crunch Dip it into the sweet chilli sauce and happily munch away!

Coated in a sweet umami sauce, the claypot tang hoon comes with medium-sized prawns. Generous portion with nice bite, it has a light peppery taste. Any recommendations on places which serves Claypot Tang Hoon?

An extremely unique dish thatā€™s not commonly found in Singapore. This was my first time seeing and trying this dish. I enjoy eating century egg and meat so when 2 comes together, a must try.
When they served this dish, the aroma was inviting.
Century was fried hence there was a crispy exterior, smooth and creamy on the inside. If youā€™re not a fan of century egg or youā€™re afraid of the smell, do give this a try as the smell was masked with the fragrance of the fried basil.
Chicken was well stir fried with tolerable spicy level.
Do ask for less spicy if you canā€™t take spice too well.

The word ā€œgarlicā€ definitely enticed me to order this as Iā€™m a garlic lover however this dish didnā€™t surprise me as much as the other dishes.
Not that this wasnā€™t good, just that other dishes tasted above average in comparison to this.
The beef was definitely well tenderised and sauce wasnā€™t too salty which was a plus point. Not something Iā€™ll order again given that their other dishes were better.
Nonetheless do give it a try if you like beef.
