U can see the portion was extremely generous. We asked for no heat that's why this bowl isn't red
Otherwise the flavours weren't too strong thankfully, it's just a very safe soup. Feeds one more than comfortably
Just about 5 mins walk from Jurong East MRT Station, @yummyfriedrice_sg is a hidden food gem that serves my kind of comfort food - Fried Rice filled with wok hei and flavour! Starting from just SGD4 per plate, I’m pretty sure Uncle Roger will give a glowing stamp of approval on @yummyfriedrice_sg.😉
Together with my family, we managed to try all 4 versions of their yummy fried rice…
👉Egg Fried Rice w Pork Chop - SGD6
👉Secret Fried Rice w Pork Chop - SGD7
👉Mala Fried Rice w Chicken Chop - SGD7
👉Tom Yum Fried Rice w Shrimp - SGD7
Without burning a hole in your pocket, you can expect a good portion of fried rice that’s freshly cooked upon order and topped with well-executed proteins of your choice. Juicy and tender, their well-marinated slab of pork chop is a must-have/must-try here!👍
You might be wondering what’s this Secret Fried Rice all about… In short, you can simply imagine having a delicious plate of Char Kway Teow, but the rice version. Being sweet and savoury at the same time, I actually enjoyed this the most.😋
💌Thank you @yummyfriedrice_sg for having me!☺️

Second time I'm having it, wasn't v impressive. Pork had a decent texture but lacked flavour, rice was too dry
Have heard of King of Fried Rice’s existence within the same area — whilst I have yet to try King of Fried Rice (yes, I know; I am late but the queues are insane), but it’s interesting to see how yet another fried rice specialty shop has just decided to open in a coffeeshop that is merely two blocks away from King of Fried Rice’s Jurong East outlet at Blk 134 Jurong Gateway Road within Fu Chan Foodcourt.
Apart from serving up fried rice, Yummy Fried Rice also do offer patrons with other dishes such as a “Tasty Braised Pork Belly Rice” and a “Tasty Spicy Hot & Sour Soup”. For those interested in going for their fried rice, they offer three different variants (even though a fourth is listed on the menu; but that’s not available) — Egg, Mala and Tom Yum, whilst also allowing patrons to either have it plain, or with shrimp, pork chop or chicken chop. Opting for the Egg Fried Rice with Pork Chop, the egg fried rice was wonderfully done — there is an evidently eggy note with bits of egg speckled between the glistening and pearly short-grain rice; sufficiently flavourful to easily finish the entire portion without feeling overwhelming. The Pork Chop is indeed the meat to opt for here — really liked how their pork chop comes with juicy and tender; the browned exterior bearing a crisp texture, whilst also seasoned with pepper for a slight hint of flavour that made it especially delicious. Overall, a pretty good rendition of the Din Tai Fung-style fried rice at $6 a portion — well-sized to even share between two pax (you know; dine-in limitations in a coffee shop these days).
Can’t make a comparison between King of Fried Rice against Yummy Fried Rice — hadn’t tried the former despite its presence in multiple neighbourhoods these days for the queues isn’t something I would quite want to subject myself to. However, Yummy Fried Rice does make for quite a good alternative within the neighbourhood when the queues do get a little long at King of Fried Rice — considering the shorter waiting times here as well. A good option to consider dining at it in the area.
My choice, probably best of the lot. Really mild mala spice. Shrimps were fine. Overall average
Idk what's the secret, but it's not a very worthy one. Better if they just added soy sauce to the original
