This Japanese Tofu in Century Egg Sauce, Sakuri Ebi and Pickled Ginger from @XiYanSG I12 outlet is quite unique. The silky texture of the tofu here contrasts strongly with the rich and dark century egg sauce, while the sakura ebi adds some colour and crunch to the dish.

The chef painstakingly placed the slices of black truffle beneath the skin of the chicken. Served hand shredded (ζ‰‹ζ’•ι›ž-style) with the skin crisp and the the flesh tender. No oiliness at all, so the oil conscious foodies can eat in good conscience. I wouldn’t rate it as excellent but it has that healthy deliciousness to it and the use of truffle is just right without over-powering.

Had a lovely lunch here - every course was creative and delicious.

This was the Pregnant Women’s Rice, named this way because it contains ingredients that pregnant ladies crave! From what I remember, it contains Kalamata olives, pickled vegetables and dried shrimps.

This restaurant definitely made me rethink Chinese food. Their menu changes constantly which demonstrates how innovative they are. Highly recommended!

Great gastronomic dinner with each plate at exceptional level of quality and taste.

that day cny at xi yan, craig road. i know how unpalatable at shaw after one visit and thought the main outlet would save the day. i remember how much i enjoyed their tomatoes in wasabi sesame sauce once. alas, the cny menu was a let down. thought this too safe execution of foie gras did not show flair for a "private dining" establishment like this. plus, texturally, the foie gras resting on slices of fiji apple failed for me as the apple unfortunately did not come out crunchy (to a certain degree, warmed up by the seared foie gras). of course, soft strawberries did not help either. p.s: am no expert on foie gras, but am i suppose to register veins inside the slab?
