Honestly this kind of dishes really depend on the cook and today's dude was not it man. No wok hey, things felt soggy overall and his eggs keep sticking to the wok, I was watching throughout
The satay sauce was very sweet and not particularly good
Cucumbers and onions does contribute to the flavour profile of satay, and the sweet marinated ckn were fine. However, the satayness and the wok hei are separate entities, you taste one or the other, they don't mingle well
It's not particularly strong so as to be jarring, but overall the execution is average
The fried rice is not bad, spring onion was super fragrant, grilled ckn was well marinated but it's not exceptional.
And the biggest problem is the chicken portion, this is more like the normal portion of chicken compared to what I had at IMM
I'll go back to IMM to check if this is the new standard for all outlets, because if it is I'll be sorely disappointed
