Wagyu is the way at Wild Wild East, where two young cooks strive to deliver quality steaks and burgers at a curbside stall. When the weather allows for an alfresco evening, take a close friend here to catch up over a meaty dinner. The wagyu burgers are what you should come for, and these come in two varieties: Wagyu Steak (RM30) and Wagyu Patty (RM16). RM30 is a small price to pay for the premium steak — a beautiful, tender slab of grilled meat sandwiched by soft buns. It's tempting to compare the two, but we found that latter surprises in its own way. The juicy 120gm Wagyu beef patty boasts scrumptious flavours, and is great value for money at a reasonable RM16. Burgers aside, one can also slice into Wagyu Steak here from just RM29/100g!
Avg price per person: RM30

The next time you're craving a seriously good steak, consider this humble curbside stall. There really is no need for a white tablecloth or candlelight, all you need is one succulent, flawlessly-seared steak to render a party in your mouth, and this is exactly what you get at Wild Wild East. Its straightforward menu comprises a spread of meats from beef to chicken and lamb, all cooked on the spot at their humble stall by the street. A minimum order of 200g is required for their wagyu (RM26/100g) and angus (RM18/100g) steaks, which are accompanied by sides of grilled vegetables and either garlic bread or soba. Open from 6.30pm to 1am everyday (except Sunday), this is THE place to be for a casual after-work dinner or supper to satisfy those steak cravings without burning a hole in your wallet!
WWE is smacked in the middle of the centre sidewalk in between Souled Out and Cubs & Cups doggy cafe, they are a unique "street food" stall with gourmet food you'd find in fancy restaurants.
Opened by two high school buddies and the chef is formerly from the familiar Japanese restaurant, Nobu.
The Wagyu steak I had comes with cold soba, a side of grilled root vegetables, and some housemade Japanese sauce for the steak. Such a juicy piece of meat I would definitely come back for more. Nicely seasoned with salt & pepper. Flavour was enhanced by the housemade sauce. Make sure you dip them steak in!
Definitely would try the Wagyu burger and chicken slider next time around.
