Assorted Muffins (12pcs)
Ordered through Khatib Kia Groupbuy

Fragrant and sweet, with crunchy edges and big variety of filling. Found them not as spongy as SL II / choc and spice / bake of. Quite different from usual muffins - it has wokhei / a charred taste, it’s the same taste when you eat a San lou horfun full of wokhei at a zichar restaurant (yes oddly specific I know). I was initially confused but eventually I decided I liked it.

When I had it the next day it tasted more spongy and cakey. Ingredients are very generous, for every flavour.

Choc was quite crisp, and had a lot more charred flavour. There's choc on top + inside; was sweet. It’s nice but a bit too sweet.

Candied orange was nice and bitter, more refreshing than the rest. Peanut choc was nutty and crunchy. Almond apple was good - juicy tender apple, almonds paired well. Cranberry had a distinct flavour.

Oreo is p sweet. Raisin one had golden raisin, big and juicy but I prefer red raisins, this was q sweet, I don’t prefer these 2 flavours.

Overall thought they veered slightly on the sweet side. I generally liked them, and would queue for them again.

The news came shocked to many people when they suddenly announced their closure in October if there’s no successor taking over the business.

Uggli Muffins is not stranger to many people as they has been selling their pastries for many years, which has gained their recognition for the muffins.

Very unique kind of muffins in naturally irregular shape, which they all are handmade and baked freshly batches by batches. The muffins are all browned in dark shade, caramelised and crusty.

The long queue has always been there and of course now would be the same, but the owner is really nice as they will frequently share the some sample to the people who are queueing. These samples are usually just freshly baked from the oven, so try it while it is still warm.

Since you have been queuing for so long, why not just grab boxes of it back? Each box would come with 10 pieces plus 2 complimentary. Get the mixed flavours and the owner would randomly select for you with flavours they have for the day.

Perfect for gift or just enjoy it at home. I really enjoy the texture and its fragrance flavours. Do grab and try it while they still open.

I was gifted this box of ‘ugly’ muffins which appeared in an irregular shape with a crusty and caramelised top. Appearance-wise these definitely did not stand out in any way however it actually tastes better than it looks. My favourite goes to the classic chocolate muffins. The muffins are not too sweet with a nice buttery aroma. It was slightly hard when eaten at room temperature but reheating it does make it better.

The Uggli muffins were unlike the usual moist, dense and cakey muffins. It had a chewy bite to it. As it was freshly baked, you could smell a strong buttery aroma when tearing into the Uggli Muffin. Unsurprisingly, the muffins were also generously stuffed with toppings. I loved the macadamia toppings especially, every bite had a piece of macadamia in it.

Light, slightly crispy at the top, aromatic. We ordered the chocolate, Oreo and cranberry flavours. The Oreo and chocolate flavours were the best to me.
