Tip Top rode on the “Impossible Meat” trend and came up with an impossible rendang puff. It’s interesting and has the flavour and look of rendang, but the texture wise, it felt more like minced mushrooms. Overall a good attempt, and I would applaud Tip Top for its creativity.
Still tempted by everything salted-egg, couldn't resist trying this, especially since it's from my favourite curry puff brand @tiptopcurrypuff!! S$1.70 each or S$3 for two. Verdict: the salted-egg flavour is quite subtle, has a sweeter undertone (still spicy) compared to its regular curry puff. Interesting and worth a try, although my all-time favourite is still its original curry puff! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
The last time I had Tip Top curry puffs was many years ago. I didn't expect the curry puffs now are still as good as before, though they varied their traditional recipe for a distinct texture and taste. Other than the best selling chicken and sardine puff, Tip Top recently introduced the Nonya Beef Rendang puff which contains tender, chunky beef and it is well flavoured with all the lovely spices that hits the spot.
