Tiong Bahru Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice (Bukit Batok)

Felt that this was very unimpressionable. Nothing particularly wrong but there's no particular taste, the sauce was very light this time, chili was watery as well, as if it's frozen overnight

I never had their white ckn before so can't comment on whether it's because now they use frozen chicken, but otherwise everything is worse

Except the rice which was still fluffy and the pickled veggies

Their grains are particularly endearing, there's a mild umami and a soft chew that made me just eat a few spoonfuls of rice and nothing else.

Chicken was pretty decent, but not special. Simple soy sauce with a bit of sweetness, and a really spicy but otherwise decent chili. The soup I think has salted veg or sth, can't rlly rmb.

The roasted ver is 1$ more than the plain ver. Which is rlly weird

Otherwise this is a good place that's deserving of its bib gourmand
