We had a good breakfast with the TBB delights and proceeded to the backyard for a little garden walk. Good, leisurely morning to kickstart the day.

This was overflowing with sautƩed mushrooms and the chunks of Brie were very satisfying. I also liked the mustard that provided some acidic kick to each bite. However the butteriness of the croissant was lost in all that flavour, so this is not for those who are looking to enjoy a simple buttery croissant.

This was quite huge, so itā€™s good for sharing. Even though they heated it up for us, it wasnā€™t very crisp. But at least it wasnā€™t as sweet as compared to when I had it about 3-4 years ago - the one I had was drenched in sugar. This is decent but thereā€™s much better KAs around.

Iā€™ve been to many Tiong Bahru Bakery before but Iā€™ve never been to this one! Really love the open concept and atmosphere!

TBB SAFARI is really the type where you're ready to snuggle on their sofa all day long with a great conversation ā¤ļø

It was by accident where I ate this mushroom croissant (cause never will I order that), but fall in love for this one ever since. Their cheese is so thick and the sautĆ©ed mushroom fits perfectly šŸ˜‹ while their croissant is crispy on the outside while soft on the inside.

If you have a second stomach for dessert, choose either one of these (except the quiche) because they're so good šŸ˜
My favourite is the Ć©clairs and the tiramisu šŸ¤

Finally checked this out bc 1) Iā€™ve never tried the famous Tiong Bahru Bakery classic croissant šŸ„ 2) Safari themed cafe at Dempsey?! Love the vibes already. As expected, the venue was LOVELY... see the last video for a somewhat dramatic we-have-been-trekking-through-the-wilderness-and-we stumbled-upon-civilisation cut. All the chill positive brunch vibes are intensified by this rustic setup. It truly felt as if I had been transported to another world. Definitely 100/10 for ambiance. Now with regards to food, I like how you can help yourself to water, jams, Nutella. Plain croissant is $3.50 ++ ($4.12) which I think is ok-ay since most bakeries sell at this price + it was HUGE + Super flaky and look how perfect it is inside!! Iā€™ve had the almond croissant at the Raffles City outlet and a few other pastries here and I wish to COMPLAIN that the service staff is so rude šŸ˜¤ Super impatient w taking orders, got annoyed when I asked about a product @ the dempsey outlet, overall grumpy... stop killing the good brunch vibes! Also, all the pastries Iā€™ve had are always not hot enough. Having read other reviews, I see that this is a common complaint... hopefully @tiongbahrubakery can tweak their standard heating duration bc it really makes a difference to the delicate texture of the croissant. I was ready to join the bandwagon and crown this the ā€œbest croissant in SGā€ but I think the slight cold-staleness was a major bummer.

Overall, Iā€™ll be back for the ambiance and perhaps the plain croissant. Donā€™t think the other pastries are worth the $ bc itā€™s much more expensive ($4-6) and it was pretty average eg the Pain Au Chocolate (meagre line of Choc) and you canā€™t appreciate the signature airiness of the croissant in the dense Almond Croissant.
