Enjoy a range of authentic Peranakan bites as part of their all-day tea sets. The set came with petit portions of each items but the extensive spread was filling. The items were generally decent.
Started with a choice of dry laksa or mee siam. Preferred the latter for its punchy sweet-savory-spicy sauce (a little too flavourful actually), while the former was somewhat bland.

π¬ Durian Pengat, Durian Apom Balek, Kueh Bingka, Nyonya Kueh, Pulot Enti π
Our favourite was the durian pengat which was really gao but just a tad sweet. The rest were alright. Ended with chendol that was pretty generous with ingredients for the portion (albeit the shaved ice was quite chunky and rough), and a comforting, warm cup of lemongrass tea.

We liked the kongbak bao which had a crisp and fluffy fried mantou stuffed with pork belly marinated with rendang-like sauce, as well as the heritage rice salad with its aromatic infusion of 7 types of herbs and crispy salted fish.

The tok panjang set completed with set of desserts.
You could find items like pulot enti kelapa, pulot enti durian, apom bokwa and kueh kosui.
Hidden in Claymore Connect, a small mall under Orchard Hotel; thereβs is this Peranakan restaurant with Peranakan decorations.
If you come with at least one friend, I would recommend you to go for their signature tok panjang.
It is a traditional feast that laid out on big table to accommodate kaleidoscope and magnitude of food. The Peranakan have created this extensive tasting menu with 2 options: $48 (LKY) or $68 (WKW).
As I have only another friend with me, so we went for the $48 set.
It comes with a soup which you could choose from either bakwan keli ting or chap chye with duck soup.
3 starters are kueh pie ti, ngoh hiang and nasi ulam.
For the 5 mains we have chicken buah keluak, chicken & pork rendang, fried fish stuffed with sambal and chap chye.
The set also included individual rice, sambal balachan and condiments.
It is definitely a festive meal we have here, with different types of main for us to enjoy.
A whooping 800gm of deliciousness! The pork was succulent and so full of flavour, and it went really well with the different types of nyonya sauces too! Served on a bed of golden egg fried rice which was pretty tasty as well. This is good for sharing among 3-4pax.
