This place is a vegan's absolute nightmare. The spread here is small but includes 3 main roasted meat selections: chicken, pork, and steak. The cooks personally slice a cut off a big slab of meat when you present your plate to them.

The side selections also includes grilled trout, creamy mushroom soup, and roasted garlic and onions. Marvelous and a must go.

Great ambience and food whether is it for family dinners or dates! Meats such as steaks, chicken and fish are cooked to perfection! Highly recommended to any meet lovers out there!

It is definitely starting to feel a lot like Christmas with these airy, light and crisp Yorkshire puddings. So light and airy you don’t feel like you are eating anything until you start drinking.

Meat lovers, jot this one down! This meat-centric Buffet (from $42) housed in Park Hotel Alexandra serves up superb roasts in a comfy setting. While there isn't a wide variety, the salt-grilled Ana Paula Black Angus Ribeye and the succulent Spit-Roasted Chicken with Truffle are sure to satisfy. Also good is the Seafood Medley, comprising fresh prawns and squid in a tasty broth.

Finally had some time for a longer lunch, and decided to head to The Carvery to try the meat buffet.
The beef and lamb was fabulous! They even had different types of sea salt that would go with the meats - charcoal, red lava sea salt, mixed spices sea salt.
Personally, I liked the mixed spices sea salt the best - it went very well with the beef and gave it more texture and flavour.

The service staff were prompt and alert to ensure my water was topped up; they took the time to speak with me - asking if I’ve tried their carving station and even explained how that they dry-aged their beef for approximately 2 weeks before they slow roast it, then roast it in their charcoal oven.

In addition, they had 2 types of goat cheeses, which is rare for any restaurants or buffets. It may not be everyone’s top choice but I loved it So thumbs up on this!

Their pork knuckle is usually for dinners; and on weekends, they would have 2 different types of beef available. This probably explains the difference in the buffet price. A buffet for the meat lovers!

The meat was really tender and juicy, and didn't need any sauce to go with it. Rather than the variety, their quantity do shine for certain dishes such as their wood fire pizzas and bread pudding.

Worth it if you get the 1 for 1 @chopesg voucher for about $50!

Weekend lunch buffet with great slices of roasted beef and lamb, variety of side dishes and cuts of cake. Good value for price, especially if you love roasted meat, but they can do better with the dessert section I think.

Australian Beef Prime ribs, crunchy skin roasted pork, and tender rotisserie chicken. And I am so in love with their in-house prepared truffle butter. Pairs great with the roasted meat! Unlike other buffet, this is a specialty buffet focusing on their carving station. Spread wise not huge but they have seafood and do not miss their dark chocolate mousse "Harry's choice"* dessert!! Overall: ❤❤❤❤

Limited selection of roast meat but great quality. Chicken was succulent, beef was perfectly tender (and goes so well with the truffle butter and salt) and the pork was crispy and flavourful. The cooked food was pretty average, but desserts were not bad.

I have been immeasurably excited for The Carvery’s Great Meat Feast since it first started years ago, but it was only this year that I managed to find a willing wingman to attack this buffet with me.

At $78++ a person for Monday-Thursday dinner, we savored cuts from a Tajima Wagyu chuck roll, Tajima Wagyu tri-tip, a bone-in rib of Beef City Black (yes, the WHOLE rib), an Ana Paula Black Angus ribeye, and a bit of rotisserie chicken. Of course, the rest of the normal buffet is also available to you, and I would definitely recommend the wonderful western section with its respectable lineup of delectable delights, the stellar seafood selection which was fantastically fresh, and the divine dessert display. Oh, special mention must go out to the splendid Yorkshire puddings at the meat carvery. They were airy, light and modestly buttery, a true joy to devour.

But let’s get to the meat of the matter, shall we? My favorite bovine of the night was arguably the Ana Paula Black Angus ribeye. Grilled on a salt block to a perfect rare with a stunning brown crust on the outside, it had the perfect fat to meat ratio, and the beef was like butter. It was so tender, so juicy and so smooth every bite was an immeasurable delight.

Coming in at a close second would be the Beef City Black tomahawk rib with its butteriness and tremendous tenderness. Cooking the whole rib on the bone paid off handsomely, as all the flavor trapped within the massive rib bone was unleashed into the succulent beef wrapped around the bone. It was sparingly seasoned, as with all the other cuts of beef. The Carvery has a self service seasoning & condiments station so you can customize and season your meat to your hearts content.

The wagyu tri-tip was narrowly edged out to third with its juiciness and succulence despite it being a lean cut of beef, while the wagyu chuck roll was definitely the letdown of the quartet. It had been cooked to rare in some parts, but the inner parts were still a touch raw, and there was a fair bit of undercooked fat running throughout. I got a piece that was full of gristle, and as a result, the chuck roll was the only cut that didn’t get a second visit from me.

The quality is of the meats is undisputedly top shelf stuff, and on weekends for an extra $10 per head, The Carvery puts out a cut of Yukimuro Snow Aged Wagyu Beef. While the weekday buffet is already excellent, I’d advise waiting till the weekends and splashing out that extra $10 to savor even more meaty goodness.

Last day of the “Forest Feast” themed menu during the Christmas festivities. Love the intimate setting of the place and the quality of their food even though they don’t have a super extensive spread.

The Carvery is known for their selection of flawlessly-prepared, quality roasts with myriad of sauces & salts. Tried the roast beef, lamb and roast chicken and traditional turkey with stuffing. The meats were juicy and tender.

Some noteworthy dishes include the blue potato mash, roast duck breast, salmon & abalone mushroom salad. Also delighted to have the creamy rich pumpkin and chestnut blue swimmer crab soup. For desserts, they have a small selection of cheeses. I love the bread & butter pudding! And they have a live station making red velvet crêpés with a mixture of condiments like sautéed bananas, maple butter, berries compote etc.

Overall, very value for money for the quality of food served. Perfect for large group/family gatherings!

Meat lovers, this spot along Alexandra Road is where you can get your free-flow protein fix. Don't expect a wide variety at this buffet (from $42), but the quality of its offerings certainly makes up for it. Whilst offering a typical array of Western dishes like beef stew, pastas and pizzas, the roasted meats, such as the tender Whisky-Aged Black Angus Prime Rib and crispy Bangalow Sweet Pork, are what you should make a beeline for.

Alexandra Fruitcake Cupcake ($4.50 each). One of the seasonal goodies available at the #CoffeeBelt, the incredibly moist, boozy cupcake is essentially a traditional Christmas fruit cake in cupcake form. The only difference? It’s lighter, more moist than the traditional, dense fruitcake. The cupcake is good for #teatime with a cup of coffee or tea!
