The pork belly rice from Thai Tantric Restaurant is a delightful dish where the pork belly is expertly marinated and deep-fried to perfection, offering a crispy yet tender bite.
Paired with a sunny side up egg, it creates a satisfying meal that's both flavourful and well-balanced.
The inclusion of a cold drink in each combo adds refreshment, making it an excellent choice for those seeking authentic Thai flavours in a complete package.
The Thai Egg Omelet with Minced Chicken from Thai Tantric Authentic Thai Cuisine is a delightful dish that offers a harmonious blend of flavours.
The fluffy omelet, infused with savoury minced chicken, delivers an authentic taste that captures the essence of traditional Thai cooking.
Generously portioned to serve 4-5 people, it’s perfect for sharing and makes for a satisfying meal that's both comforting and flavourful.
This place is a gem. For this type of Thai street stir fry, I haven't had better ever.
Food:
Thick layer of jelly, I love the slight chewiness. Sweet strong coconut milk well infused w jackfruit aroma. Generous portion
Perfection.
Intense, intense seasoning. The noodles are similar to mee pok so not entirely authentic, it has a bit of al dente bite actl. But still overall it's brilliant
I haven't had good pad Thai this time in Bangkok so I have to say this beats all the pad thai ive had in thailand lmao.
Possibly one of the best in Singapore. I havent had better yet
Very legit. The sourness and heat were on point. Ingredients were cheap esp fishballs but the overall flavour profile is good enough
Deep fried pork belly is one of Thai Tantric's signature dishes. You can either have it as a standalone ala carte dish or as a set with rice and a fried egg.
We enjoy the deep fried pork belly which is tender and nicely marinated. It can be a little gamey or 'porky' on its own so do dip it in the peppery and spicy dipping sauce!
We usually stick our favourite dishes at Thai Tantric but the goong paad prik graw or deep fried prawns with chili on the next table just smalled and looked so good.
The sweet and sour sauce was well balanced and I loved the pineapple, cucumber and onions that came with it. Paired with the deep fried prawns, they were really tasty!
Thai Tantric also serves a really good deep fried pork belly with rice for $8.
The deep fried pork belly is thicc, tender and juicy and I love their shattering crisp crust. It is best paired with the spicy chilli dip served on the side which helps to cut through the grease.
If you want more deep fried pork belly, they also serve it as an a la carte dish without the rice for $14!
Located in a quiet corner of the infamous Orchard Towers, Thai Tantric is one of our favourite Thai joints and serves some of the best Thai food in Singapore.
Our must-order includes their seafood pad thai ($9). Each dish of pad thai comes topped with fish cake, squid and prawns on top of a plate of rice noodles coated in a tamarind based sauce. It is salty, nutty, sweet and savoury all-in-one without any of the individual elements overwhelming the others. Thai Tantric also does theirs slightly 'wet' but you still get a good 'helping' of wokhei. We simply love the harmonious melody of flavours in each plate of pad thai!
Here is my favourite Pad Thai.
I think I might have use the word favourite a little too much, there is a favourite for everything.
Overall, this is my go-to place for Thai food, other food that we would always order is Green Curry. Though do expect a waiting time as lesser seats now due to the small area & COVID-19 restrictions.
Love the Fried pork belly.
Not my top best thai food but can try it out if you are around the area.
A favorite Thai food go-to place amongst my friends.
Omelette with minced pork ($12) was crispy and fluffy, and the minced basil pork ($12) was fragrant.
We also ordered the clear seafood tom yum ($12) which had prawns, fish, squid and fishball. It was thoughtfully served with a small candle to ensure it stayed warm through the meal. The soup was tangy, sour and spicy; everything a good bowl of tom yum should be!
Before getting to this restaurant, you’d have to walk past a few questionable salons and massage parlors. Make your way up to the third story, turn right, head down along the corridor/railing and turn into the small corner. Thai Tantric has a few tables laid right outside it’s store!
Haven't had a solid tom yum soup for a while and I'm glad theirs was potent. Not the typical grainy chilli paste soup here. The broth was smooth yet flavourful from all the lemongrass, ginger, chilli and red onion. At first the price tag kinda scared me off but it came with a chockful of ingredients - fishball, fish, prawns, and oyster mushrooms. Wish I had the stomach space to wipe the broth clean!
What I enjoyed most was the tom yum soup, which was light yet spicy and packed to the brim with ingredients. The place itself can get quite ‘rowdy’ at night so ladies please go accompanied.
Was craving for Thai food and decided to head over to Orchard Towers for authentic Thai food to curb them hunger pangs. The eggplant with minced pork was really tasty, albeit being a tad oily, with a good balance between both savoury and sweet.
👍👍 spicy and savoury
Filled with Ingredients. Gigantic pot, bottomless pit of Tom yam soup.
