Teochew Kway Teow Fishball Noodle Soup

Chai Chee is probably a quiet neighbourhood right beside Bedok Central, but there’s also some exciting food places around here.

That’s why you would be surprised to find this standalone noodle place right under HDB block. It seems the local would patronising this shop often, as I saw a few customer seems very friendly taking with the owner here.

They actually have opened here since 2013 by the owner who love fishball noodles. So the owner was inspired and started his own fishball making.

It is definitely a very comfortable food and all the fishballs are juicy and chewy.

Teochew style mee pok with fishball, fish cake and fish dumplings. I had mine with ketchup cos I don’t take chilli and found the noodles coooked just right - al dente almost. The fishballs/cakes were fresh and not too fishy, was also impressed with the fish dumplings which was of a lovely slippery texture yet not too flour-y. A hidden gem in a quiet neighbourhood.

My fav Teochew Kway Teow Fishball place. Chilli oh so spicy and tasty, crispy pork lard and soft fishballs. Order Mee Kia and Ou can taste the al dente in the Chinese noodle. Unique and nice.
