Just when I think I had hit the peak, the Tendon was a beautiful bowl of well-executed golden fried goodness. I was assuming that it would be a regular Kakiage Tempura Don but boy was I wrong as there was a generous amount of juicy sweet shrimp in the mix. Doused in a sweet tare, the hunk of tempura and oozing fried egg on the side tasted great together - a little heavy yet not a tinge bit cloying or greasy.
