Omakase wrapped with a prawn miso soup that didn’t play by the usual rules. This was bold, briny and full of flavour. The prawn stock hit hard with umami. Rich, warming and way more memorable than expected.
Dropped by Sushi to Sumi for their UME lunch omakase and it was quick, simple and wallet-friendly. We get 8 seasonal sushi pieces, 1 charcoal-grilled seafood and miso soup all done in under 45 minutes, standing-style.
Had a decent mix of Sea Bream, Flounder, Amberjack, Salmon, Tobiko marinated with dashi, Sweet Shrimp, Bluefin Tuna and Herring. The grilled squid was smoky and tender, a nice change of pace.
It’s not the fanciest omakase around but for the price, it’s hard to complain. Simple, efficient and perfect for a fuss-free lunch that still feels like a treat 》$38++
