Japanese fried rice is always a yes for me and the Miyazaki Beef Fried Rice caught my attention in their latest seasonal menu. Fluffy Japanese rice was stir fried with small chunks of wagyu beef, eggs, garlic and spring onions. This looked like such a modest dish but the taste was exceptionally satisfying. It was well-flavoured and the beef pieces were tender and fatty that added to the overall beefy, smokey flavour of the dish.
Suo comprises 5 kinds of sashimi — hotate, salmon, hamachi, akagai and amaebi, all of which you get 3 thick slices each. the staff allowed us to swap the maguro to hamachi! sashimi was fresh as expected but we particularly enjoyed the scallops and yellowtail. loved how the prawns came with the head intact for extra umami 😀
This was a healthy dish with assorted vegetables and egg with mushroom rice. I really enjoyed the mushrooms rice - the rice was fragrant and each grain was smooth and silky.
The sweetness of the dragonfruit enhanced the flavour of the Japanese rice. The bouncy texture of the rice made the meal a multi-dimensional experience which I thoroughly enjoyed. It’s a seasonal item but I hope it lasts for a long time.
KagoSan Vegetable Roll ($9.80) Known as Bacon-Wrapped Enoki & Vegetable Roll. It's unique roll for including vegetable (sliced carrot & pepper) but seldom saw the vegetable include the bacon-wrapped roll. It's taste quite weird for me probably used to eat without vegetable.
Dai Dai Roll ($13.50) filled Kani Fumi (Snow crabfish), mayonnaise, lettuce and mango inside the roll. It's made sweet and sour taste aftertaste. Garnish with mayonnaise, vinegar, tobiko (fish roe).
