Sunday Hangouts With The Fam
This was a healthy dish with assorted vegetables and egg with mushroom rice. I really enjoyed the mushrooms rice - the rice was fragrant and each grain was smooth and silky.
It is a comforting bowl of soup that fills my tummy with warm soupy goodness when I don’t feel like having anything else.
Need I say more? Juicy broth and succulent pork pieces encased within a chewy dough skin. Delightful.
I liked that the broth was not too salty and it was light in the palette. The noodles were cooked al dente. The highlight was the vegetable and pork wantons! Chunky pork pieces and crunchy vegetable bits were encased in the translucent wanton skin. I would think they are substantial for a wanton! There were quite a few of them floating atop the soup and they were delicious!
This was a cooling dish on a humid day. The noodles had an al dente bite to them. The green tea taste was slight, not too intense.
The sweetness of the dragonfruit enhanced the flavour of the Japanese rice. The bouncy texture of the rice made the meal a multi-dimensional experience which I thoroughly enjoyed. It’s a seasonal item but I hope it lasts for a long time.
Simple plate of soba goodness. I liked that the noodles were made al dente and I really enjoyed the bite. It was refreshing to eat the noodles on a hot afternoon.
I loved the texture of the noodles. The sauce was indeed fragrant without being overly salty. It’s also labeled low in calories on the menu. Quite a satisfying dish!
I forgot the price but it was less than $15++. There was a generous portion of crabmeat and the garlic fried rice was fragrant. Every bite was flavourful!
This is from the seasonal fall menu... tasted a bit like “zhng-ed up” hokkien mee to me. It was tasty and savoury, and a mouthful of flavours with every bite! I quite enjoyed it albeit it was a bit on the salty side.
This wasn’t as chewy as I hoped it would be but still a refreshing treat on a Sunday afternoon. I love cold noodles! Buckwheat noodles are one of my favourite treats 😊
I had mine with spicy sauce and multigrain rice. The array of deep fried vegetables was sinfully delightful. The sauce had a slightly spicy kick that was palatable. Overall, it was a very satisfying meal.
