I really love hotpot and was delighted to know that Eatigo have a 50% off for Saturday evening!
The slot was for 5pm and the restaurant was pretty empty at that time. We were given a window seat so it was pretty awesome :) we chose sukiyaki and shabushabu as our soup base and also went started with 1 each of their meat (pork, beef, chicken)
The vegetables bar was quite okay. They have notably more processed ingredients like cuttlefish ball, nacho cheese ball and seafood tofu as compared to Shabu Sai but the latter have greater selection of fresh vegetables and mushrooms.
Ice cream is also included in the dinner buffet but sadly, we have to top up 1.90++ for plain water (same price as free flow soda fountain) as the water is dispensed from the same machine. There is also a limit of 90minutes but the waiter closed our bill (no more meat orders) and allowed us to stay longer than the allocated time. Overall, value for money if using eatigo but comparing usual price to usual price, shabu sai wins hands down as the fresh produce selection is way superior.
had this at half price and my bill was only $18 per pax!! really worth it for a hotpot buffet. #jxeatsrecommend
So much value from this buffet. Altho the quality of beef during first serving is better than subsequent's, the overall quality of the ingredients is good. Go when there's 50% discount on Eatigo 😉
When I say most value-for-money, I meant it with Eatigo's 50% promotion because that only works out to be around $15 per pax for weekday dinners! This price grants you access to a DIY sauce bar, unlimited amounts of vegetables and thinly-sliced chicken, pork and beef, with 2 soup base of your choice (from 5 options).
The meats were definitely fresh and went well with the sukiyaki soup base. The shabu-shabu broth, on the other hand, was very bland but it's a great option if you prefer something light to a rich and cloying soup. The staff here are really friendly too!
Loving the premium buffet steamboat..

For those meat-lovers out there, Suki-ya's shabu shabu steamboat buffet will be right down your alley! With free flow beef, pork and chicken slices, a (slightly small) self-service yong tau foo-like buffet selection and a wide variety of greens, you can finally eat as much as you want while feeling relatively healthy. Recommended soup bases would be their sukiyaki (my fav) and butaniku. Their only other limitation would be the lack of desserts (save for apples and pears), and choice of only 2 drinks (peach tea and green tea). Other than that, it was rather value-for-money, especially when you dine in using eatigo promotions or credit card one-for-one deals (around 13 SGD per pax)
