Lol can’t believe I got to try Song Fa only recently though I have been here in SG for almost 7 years 🙈 (one of the few places I didn’t have the patience to queue on 😅)
Opted for their pork ribs lunch set that comes with pork ribs soup, rice, dough fritters, nuts/veggies. Meat falls off the bone - really tender and soft. Soup is as peppery and garlicky as I want it to be (though could be a bit overpowering for some). Enjoyed it more with the dough fritters soaked into the soup. The braised groundnuts side is appetizing and flavourful as well
Service is good, staff is attentive for soup refills

The pork ribs were tender and soft. Soup was peppery and light but some might find the pepper kick too strong. Smash the garlic in the soup and it help to enhance the soup taste. In my opinion, this is probably one of the best bak kut teh around.

We came across this Bak Kut Teh chain while shopping. Props to the bf since he wanted BKT so badly. We ordered the pork rib soup, coupled with dough fritters and also the braised pork belly. The first taste was just beyond my expectation. The soup is peppery with an immensely rich flavour. The additional plus is that this store allows unlimited refills of their signature soup. We think we've had more than a kettle of refills haha. I proudly proclaim it as the best peppery BKT I've had, at least for now. Coupled with the dough fritters, once it is immersed in the soup, they still remain their crispness together with the soup. This was such a comfort for the stomach.
Their braised pork belly is worth a try too. The meat was tender, succulent and flavourful. Most importantly, it goes well with the soup. It might not be the best we've tried but it was still good. The overall ambience were also relaxing, simple, but authentic.
Over all for 2 pax we spent a total of $36. It came with 2 bowls of soup, 2 bowls of rice, dough fritters, braised pork belly and also 2 cups of drinks. We rate this at 8/10. Overall we think that it's really VFM and we'd definitely come back again! 😁

Years back I remembered I was disappointed with the you tiao coz they fried twice and became oily and not the crispy fluffy ones that I am looking for... Visited it before the CB starts and now the you tiao is as good as the ones you get at Rochor Beancurd...
