This is my 2nd time writing for So Good. The first time I was at Capitol where I was told that when my char siew soh was brought to my table, I cant request for it to be made hot.
This time, I visited and brought my date here to So Good at 100AM to dine in and enjoy a high tea tea break. I learnt my lesson and told the cashier that I wanted my char siew soh to be made hot. She told me to tell the person at the food pick up point instead. So I did, they promised to make hot for me. When I received my char siew soh, it was cold like a tuna. 🫠
I also wanted to order an ala cart char siew soh for my date. The cashier auntie told me to go opposite to buy which i’m ok. So i asked whether can heat it up together with the one i’m having. NO cannot… 🤯 but thankfully, my date only miss out on a cold char siew soh.
I wish So Good can be more customer obsessed.
The first thing that hit me was the fragrance of this cake! Wow! I love it from the 1st bite into this walnut cake layered with cream and crunchy walnuts n flaky pastry at both ends. It’s truly a perfect creation n treat! Well done! 👏👏👏

Napoleon cake is a good mix of different textures, crusty pastry, soft cream and crunchy nuts. The taste is also well combined.
The raisin stick is also crusty and a bit on the sweet side which we like for such pastry.
Would like to try other items!

A really good breakfast item. There’s luncheon meat, egg and maybe abit of mayo? Bread was fluffy and soft !!
This egg tart was so huge compared to my palm but definitely NOT! ENOUGH! Was craving for more even when I finished 😭 buttery crust thats comparable to Tai Cheong but alittle thinner! its thin-ness complemented very well with the mildly sweet egg custard. Every mouthful is a heavenly balance of butter crust and smooth egg custard 😍 definitely climbing to 2nd in my list of favourite egg tarts (after TC) 🤭
Simplicity is sometimes the best. 😊
A reasonably sized, soft, fluffy bun ($1.60) with raisins and walnuts embedded into it. It's sweet from the raisins with an interesting crunchy texture and earthiness from the walnuts. Wish they were more generous with the toppings but it's something I can look past. :)

A generous amt of sliced chicken with chewy mushrooms in a pool of thick creamy sauce. I didn’t expect to like this so much. Will be on my to-buy list from now on.
They will slice for you upon request. Smelled a lovely choc fragrance when I opened the box. Deep choc taste, not too sweet. Perfect with a cup of coffee.
Buttery tart shell went very well with the rich egg custard, which wasn’t too sweet. Really delicious.
Coconut cream bread ($1.80)
Bread has a nice bite and was fluffy and tasty. Cream was light and not too oily and was complemented by the shredded coconut on the outside. Very nice for those who like to eat cream!
Cheese tart ($2.50 each)
Cheese was soft fluffy and tasty. The crust was buttery and crispy and nice texture. Would say that this is one of the best cheese tarts around!!
The cappuccino has the cutest coffee art!
Personally, I felt the cheese tart is better than other brands!
A good sized bun with buttery crispy top, filled with creamy cheese inside. Didn’t turn hard even when I reheated in the oven. A very enjoyable bun. I will buy again.
This small little bun definitely had much less char Siew than its big brother. Also not the saucy kind. But the biscuity top was crunchy and buttery. The big polo char Siew could get a bit overwhelming cos it was so bursting with char Siew and sauce. This was nice as a light snack.
The floss was in abundance and really quite spicy. Spicy enough to make me sweat, and warmed up my tummy. Much spicier compared to the one in Bread Talk. Smelt really good too.
Love this egg tart from So Good Bakery!! So fresh and warm from the oven. Probably the best after Tai Cheong’s 😋 So big and it’s only $1.70
老婆饼 is not bad too
Curry filling was spicy and delicious. Generous amt too. I liked the dollop of mayo in the middle. Mayo anywhere is good for me.
