Hidden in a neighbourhood in Boon Keng lies this pretty chill looking cafe which we happened to chance upon as we wanted coffee.
I must say our expectations came tumbling down as the service isn't friendly as we ordered our coffee. Our opinions definitely changed when we tried their coffee.
Their Iced Brown ($6) or Iced Mocha was incredibly smooth, with the strong coffee complementary their chocolate sauce very well. Both their coffee and chocolate were definitely of good quality and we were surprised how the coffee isn't dry or sour at the end! A very good brew, perhaps the best I've had yet.
Their Yuan Yang Affrogato ($6.80) consist of their Earl Grey Gelato with an espresso shot. Those 2 flavours definitely complemented really well, as the smooth aromatic coffee notes were augmented with some floral notes coming from the Earl Grey. So glad they managed to make the Earl Grey flavour strong and yet not too perfume like!
Definitely one of my top coffee places, as I can see that they do put a huge emphasis on their coffee. Perhaps maybe their service can be a little better, to make the whole experience a completely wonderful one π
Returned again, this time to try their non-premium flavours.
Cereal milk was surprisingly good. The Cereal bits made the gelato a little chewier. Overall tasted quite good.
Hazelnut Nutella was flavourful.
So far 4 flavours tasted here and 4 winners already.
A minimalist Cafe located at Whampoa West Old hdb Estate, Slickshots serves a plethora of items, from gelato, waffles, coffee, cakes, bakes, eggs etc etc.
But their Gelato just stands out, and the Pistachio is the most stand out. A quick Google search on this place shows that the Pistachio is the most reviewed ice cream flavour here.
It was creamy and thick and nutty. So great. A must have when u eating gelato here.
highly recommend the waffles! pistachio is a classic on point; my friend picked the white chrysanthemum which is an excellent choice
Chanced upon slick shots and I was pleasantly surprised! Quaint place with a chill and relaxing ambience. We had the biscoff and chrysanthemum flavors, we particularly loved the chrysanthemum one! Do check out this place if youβre in the area!!

Overall βοΈ 3.5/5 βοΈ
The general favourites were 1) Baileys & Brownies (+$2 gourmet) for its punchy alcoholic kick and brownie bits and 2) Kochi Yuzu (+$1) for its refreshing citrus flavour (albeit slightly icy). Personally enjoyed the Ricotta with pistachio nuts (+$1 premium) that was light and creamy with bits of pistachio seeds but this might not suit those who prefer stronger cheese flavours.
We were less fans of the CNY special pineapple tart (+$1) with its artificially sweet pineapple taste. Chrysanthemum with cocoa nibs (+$1) had a distinctly strong floral taste but it leaned towards the artificial side, redolent of Yeoβs chrysanthemum tea π . The large amount of cocoa nibs embedded within also made it difficult to taste the floral notes and detracted from the smoothness of the gelato. Cereal milk had a more forgettable malty flavour.
ππ¨π₯πππ§ πππππ₯π (3 βοΈ; $5.50)- Not sure if itβs because we went quite late in the evening but the waffle was disappointing. While crispy and airy, it had a strong buttery and rancid flavour that overpowered the ice cream.
