Surely, I wouldn't leave Taipei without trying their 臭豆腐 (stinky tofu), and I went to some on your recommendations. One of which that was most recommended is 家湘涼麵 conveniently located at Shilin Night Market (after all, most tourists would definitely make a visit to this night market right?)

Its fried till crispy, and crunchy. There's the stinky smell, but it tastes sweet. If you're new to stinky tofu, and are afraid you won't like it, then start with this. I've tried several stinky tofu in Taipei, and this is the easiest to accept.

My favourite stinky tofu is however at Raohe Night Market. While 家湘涼麵 is good, the interior was dried out (hence easier to accept too). The stinky tofu at Raohe had a more mushy interior, and more flavour of the stinky tofu.

💭 Least favourite out of my entire taiwan trip. Chose the spicy flavour and it reminds me of tom yum seasoning (spicy but a lil sour), felt that the combination was weird. As for the crispiness, it’s not crispy enough.
My all time fav and it’s been 8 years and they still haven’t open one in sg 😭 miss you cheese potato ❤️
This is like a popiah wrapped dessert, inside contains a smashed up crunchy sweet type of biscuit.
Tons of stalls here and since we didn’t know which is good, we settled for one which there were locals. Hits and misses. I think unless you know what to order, likely to have more misses than hits.
You can pick two seasonings and I chose lemon pepper and spicy. The shrooms were succulent and tasty. Finished them in a jiffy.
I also bought the popular black pepper pork ones to try and they were absolutely delicious as well.
Spent NT$100 for 7 rods and managed to hook only 2 prawns successfully 😂
Now back at the hostel done with my duty of catching all the roaches (pretty sure I've caught the whole family?) & finally settled down to chill alone with my Taiwan Beer. What are you guys up to? #BZExplore

This is one of my favourite meal in Taipei. A spicy mala claypot of exotic food like large intestines, pig's blood pudding, lean meat, mala stinky tofu, meat ball and mushroom. It's the type of food that either you love it or just hate it. Hahaha! Who dares to try this?😉😋 #suntantravels
Found these taiwanese sausage which were in plus size. Maybe 1/3 of the length of delifrance french loaf, the long bread. Around 100 twd. S$4-5.
At first we are skeptical to try, cuz it looks like one Long fish cake, but it's actually a part of giant squid. But it taste like fried abalone. The seller are nice to give us any amount of topping, we choose seaweed and salad sauce (mayo). So yummy, I can't wait to return to Taiwan to get this. I don't know the name of the pushcart. That is a little different from the Singapore version. Drenched with an orange sauce which had a nutty taste to it, I actually liked it because it made the whole dish taste less oily!
It's near the entrance and the cheese potato so quite easy to spot! Really good though! Hehe! Who tried before? #popztw

No.1 food at Shi Lin Night Market. Super omg good when we ordered the combo mix with all the ingredients. Love the crispy potato skin,crunchy bacon, sweet corn!
