From Seng Hoe
胜和鱼圆肉脞面
Delicious and satisfying noodle dish with classic fishballs, meat ball, sliced liver, sliced fishcake and minced meat.
Flavourful mushrooms too.
Highly recommended!
Local food must surely be represented by meepok. And if you are craving for meepok, Seng Hoe is the best in Marine Terrace.
The stall is a 3-man op (sometimes 4).
Stal front lady takes non-stop orders during peak hours and has a damn good system of remembering all orders. Damn good memory also.
Try it yourself.
Hidden within the housing development of Marina Terrace, this food centre actually house some good foods for the morning people. Seng Hoe being one of the stall here selling noodle and fish soup. They actually operate from early morning till evening so you can try it between the day. $4
The meepok was kiu and well seperated. Not sticky and slimey like other stalls. Likely because the stock to cook the noodles at this stall is very hot cos demand is non-stop.
Quite a good system at the stall also. A stall-hand takes orders while the cooks prep.
Go for the $5 big bowl. It fills better and kills all craving in one bowl.
The fish is also very fresh. Try the sliced fish to find out for yourself.
Another bowl of goodness found at marine terrace. At $4, this bowl of noodles had one of the tastiest fishballs I ever ate. Fresh and springy. It's once of those fishballs that my grandpa used to sell as a fishmonger. The meatballs were delicious, their small pork slices were well marinated as their stall also sells porridge! Overall, if not for their remote location, this is one bowl of noodles I don't mind eating everyday.
