Their soup is quite viscous, but not in the same way as the common starchy or collagen broths. It's also full of umami and really warm.
Noodles had a unique texture, at the beginning it's less cooked so there's more of a bite but as it soaks in the broth it transforms into something sticky as u chew. Meatballs were generous and flavourful too
Despite the number of unorthodox components it eats exactly like a norm banmian after a while.
Fantastic stuff, deserving of their high praise
have been eating this since pri school days @ roxy square and now they are at old airport rd (but im no longer there:( ) but anyway comfort food for the tum and their portions still as generous as ever :')
Itβs have been one year that I have not visited this stall. I have visited this stall on Marine Parade Central Market for many times before moving to current premise, Old Airport Road Food Centre. It was recommended this stall by old colleagues of mine. The taste of sliced fish ban mian soup ($4.50) was still remain the same and also freshness of sliced fish that made me want to go back for the sliced fish ban mian.

Ordered the seafood soup with noodles, plenty of ingredients I would say! Lots of fish slices, squid, vegetables and 2 big prawns! My husband ordered the same but he has additional tofu and tomato slices..so unfair lol
But not a bad choice for a rainy day
an average bowl of you mian, however I would say that it is a good comfort food as the soup reminds me of the chicken maggi mee flavour. noodle texture is alright and meat taste okay too.
They used to be at Roxy Square, and then they moved to Marine Parade Hawker Centre, and now they moved to Old Airport #01-51 (Last row, in the middle, right of the toilets, nearest to the multi storey car park, next to Toast Hut and Herbal Tea). Still the same friendly Chinese couple and the best ban mian in Singapore! Portion and ingredients are super generous. Get the Sliced Fish version and you get both fish and meat!
