Well cooked with right texture, solid char and perfectly glazed with the magical combination of maple and bacon fat
December marks the start of festive eating. And the show starter is non other than the fabulous turkey roulade, stuffed with celery, chestnuts, sage & mushroom. Available on the Sunday roast menu. Served with watercress, roasted potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and traditional gravy. What are you waiting for? 😄
Steak served with tarragon bearnaise and hand-cut chips. Worth the money especially with the lunch set. Steak was beautifully cooked, chips were nice, not too oily but might be better if they were crispier. But overall still a very good meal
Crackled Belly Pork, with savoy cabbage, clove & apple sauce, roasting juices. The pork was well-roasted, full of flavour. Wished there was a bit more veg, or sides to go with the pork, but otherwise, a very tasty meal.
What a gorgeous sight these rosy-hued cuts of steak were, and they tasted as good as they looked, especially so when enlivened with an umami bone marrow jus and mushroom pate. Enjoy this in the coming months on Oxwell’s festive menu.

Game can be hard to get right(and might not appeal to everyone), but for something different, do try the braised rabbit on Oxwell & Co’s newly launched festive menu. Not dissimilar in terms of taste and texture to chicken, the meat is tender and soft. What makes this dish really shine though is the rich and tangy creme fraiche and mustard sauce studded with prunes and smoked bacon.
