love the grilled fish!!! very similar to aston’s. opted for butter rice and scrambled eggs.
+0.3 for take away
Cost $8.30 for takeaway - would have been $7.80 without the fried egg. They are fairly generous with the portions, which is always a blessing for big eaters like me. Taste is also very good, although I would say I prefer the other sauces (garlic cream, salsa, spicy asian) over the brown sauce which I tried for the first time today.
Baked fish with pasta: my attempt of eating cleaner though the baked fish is topped with a generous serving of garlic cream sauce. Liked how its skin is crisp and light - $6.30 for takeaways (a rare find for western food in the CBD)
$5.50 western that’s hidden in a corner of Shenton House! What a steal! It works the same way as Aston, where you order a main followed by 2 sides and what’s different is that you can choose the type of sauce; ranging from Brown sauce to Asian sauce and Salsa Sauce. The chicken may not be as juicy as the ones in Aston but given the price point, I’d say it’s fairly decent!
One of the western food joints that presents the best value in my opinion. I ordered the baked fish ($6) with choice of two sides, I took 2 servings of the boiled vegetables. Choice of sauce: Asian spicy. Super yummy, sauce has enough "kick" and the portion is sooo generous.
