Coming back for one last time before they close permanently, as today marked their last day of operation.
Pretty sad to hear the news when they announced it, as I really like their bak kut teh.
I believe this post would be the last one on this Burpple page (unless there’s also other people here who like them as well). So I gotten the most expensive bak kut teh which they called it 龙骨. As compared to the normal one, this comes with super big portion of fat. The meat is more tender as well.
Thanks for serving us the authentic bak kut teh in Singapore for the past years. The memory will always be remember.
You have a choice between fat and lean. Definitely get the fat, the marbling is alr quite decent, you don't want any leaner than this
Meat was reasonably tender, but it's average for this price
The soup is light, but sweet, and packs a heat at the back of the throat. Compared to the strongly peppery bkt elsewhere, this broth is 30% similar to pork organ soup

A pepper style of bak kut teh that I keep asking for refilling. A perfect meal for cooling day recently. It comes with 3 bones with lots of meats.
Clean, pure protein and most important delicious. Dun forget to ask for Tao jio to dip into. Happiness making.
