Fresh and huge prawns in a flavourful broth packed with umami goodness. The broth is rich and robust with a tinge of natural sweetness from the seafood. The dry version came with noodles doused in chilli sauce, topped with braised pig skin and shallots 》$12

U can only choose the price. We were lucky cos there's no normal 13nett prawns, so I actually got the 20nett deep sea prawns instead. The highest price is 28 which are the same prawns but larger

Pig skin has good texture but the braise is weak.

The dry one is not recommended, cos the sambal is v avg

Honestly the big prawns don't taste too much better than the smaller prawns. It just tastes different, so unless you're a prawn connoisseur it really is not too worth it

Gets you the most normal prawns, but still of reasonable size and quite generous.

No more pork ribs at night. The pork belly had a nice sticky skin but it was not brined and so really had no flavour.

Soup was insane tho. It's really briny, a proper prawn broth, the salty kind. One of the strongest versions I've had(maybe the strongest of this style), and an authentic one(not the reinterpreted kinds)

However I feel like it's not good for drinking, cos it's better if it were slightly less salty and more tempered with a bit of sweetness as well as more body. This would be good as a base for some other dish instead of being used directly

Seeing those huge Prawns displayed at the front of the shop really enticed me.

Decided to have the medium portion @ $13

The bee hoon/kway teow was mixed in chilli and ketchup, really some old school taste here.

Prawns were huge and fresh.

Soup was great as well, a mixture of pork and prawn broth, personally, I like it mixed with red chilli. Damn good.

I’ve had my fair share of prawn noodles from this particular stall a few years back when i patronised it more frequently. However, coming here for breakfast seems to be a bad idea. I guess being the second customer right after it opened meant a much less flavourful and rich broth, with it paling so much in comparison to what I’ve had before (and other reviews as well). I guess the only advice I have is to go after a while — perhaps later during lunch or in the evening once the prawns have really simmered into the pot of broth.

Didn't even step into the food centre yet but I could already smell the tantalising fragrance of the prawn broth simmering - it was THAT strong. Decided to go for the $12 option and was wowed by the huge prawns, rich broth, as well as the noodles mixed with an addictive sauce. Plus points for the pork rib and pig skin thrown into the mix as well! Definitely a must-try even if you are neutral toward prawn noodles.
