More Reviews of good food at Mookata Traditional Thai BBQ (Bugis Junction)

Paid $31.19 net (for 2 pax) after using the Burpple Beyond for their buffet lunch set, which comes with free flow drinks and ice cream too. There is not a very wide selection of meat and seafood is not available for the cheaper lunch buffet. However, the meat are well marinade. I really liked the pork collar, garlic pork, beef and chicken thigh. Their pork bacon is a lil salty for my liking. Overall, its a good and value for $ experience for us.

Came here for my friends gathering and utilise my Burpple Beyond deal. You can get one for one for their dinner buffet here but you have to complete your meal within the time limit.

This buffet is definitely worth its price! The meat served is also tasty and well seasoned. Don’t worry about feeling thirsty as drinks are provided as well.

Don’t forget to grab one for one deals here through burpple beyond!

This has a total belly score of 3/5!

Snag a seat at one of the long tables here for your next team dinner! Spend your tummy space and the 90-minute time limit gorging on the ultra rich and yummy bacon and chicken slices. At $25.90 per pax, the buffet is great value for money, especially with 1-for-1 on Burpple Beyond.

$39.90 | We found it average and I guess it would be more worth it if you go for the lunch buffet instead.

@mookatathaibbq would definitely come to mind as it’s really good for groups! Our Burpple team of 18 comfortably fitted in one of their many long tables for our team lunch!
Their 90 mins buffets (from $25.90) consist of the table favourite of bacon 🥓 and my favourite of chicken. The meat had been overly “lard-ed” to be Super tasty when barbecued. Sweetening the deal would be the usage of #burpplebeyond - with our 1 for 1 discount! Definitely big savings with just $9.90 per month for their all day membership - really value for money - you do the math!

Thanks to #BurppleBeyond, I had my first ever meal of Mookata which is a Thai style of BBQ grill cum hotpot (well, more of a hot moat but it did the job).
Our group had been planning for a farewell lunch for one of our team mates and after tossing around a few ideas, this place won because their set-up suits big groups. Plus they offer a buffet option, and with Burpple Beyond’s 1-for-1 redemption, it’s a no-brainer.
I thought the spread of items for cooking is pretty decent with different kinds of marinated meats (my top picks would be the pork belly and chicken, the beef - not so much), bacon (yaaaassss), assorted vegetables, mushrooms, corn, eggs, a few types of noodles, as well as fish paste items, seaweed and cheese beancurd cubes.
There is also a ready-to-eat section packed with fried wantons, French fries, “man tou” and rice.
Ice-cream (the kind in tubs that you need to scoop yourself) and drinks are free flow too.
The dipping sauces which come in varying degrees of hotness, stand out for being fragrant with herbs and spices. You can also mix your own if preferred.
At $25.90 per head, I reckon the buffet is definitely worth it especially for those with big appetites. But with the 1-for-1 redemption which allows two people to enjoy the buffet for the price of one, it becomes a real bargain.

Decent selection of meat (go for the spicy chicken!) and assortment of fried food (their mantou is really shiok). There’s even free flow of drinks and ice cream! Their ventilation is also pretty good considering how I didn’t smell too much of BBQ after the meal 😂

Plus point: you get to enjoy 1 for 1 buffet with Burpple Beyond!

Mookata cravings while roaming Bugis? With Burpple Beyond, we got a 1-for-1 deal on their buffet ($25.90 for two pax!). They have a pretty decent range of meats; loved their pork belly and spicy chicken thigh. The seafood items don’t seem like it’s available for lunch though.

On the way out, we saw some students wrapping their enoki mushroom with bacon! Now why didn’t we think of that? Another reason to return I guess. 🥓

One of the best places for gatherings is BBQ and Mookata offers a decent spread of meat dishes at an affordable cost. While I liked the umami flavor of the marinated bbq meat at the start, it slowly turned too gelat for me to continue.

Moreover with Burpple Beyond, your partner will also be able to enjoy the buffet as well with the 1-for-1 redemption deal. So don’t miss out on this offer with Burpple Beyond!

Available exclusively at the Bugis Junction outlet from June onwards, mookata fans would be thrilled to indulge in the Cheesy Grill sets. Loaded with creamy mozzarella and cheddar cheese, my picks include the bacon enoki wraps, pork collar, bak kwa, and crayfish. Go for the spiciest level of dipping sauce for some uplifting kick!

This was a hosted meal by Mookata; many thanks to Affluence PR for the invitation.

Melted mozzarella and cheddar cheese surrounding the Mookata grill of barbecued meat and other ingredients — be ready to indulge in a sinful yet yummy meal. We added some corn into the cheese too and that gave some sweetness to the creamy cheese and savoury meat! My favorite was definitely the bacon enoki wrap, dipped in their spiciest chilli sauce.

The Mookata Cheesy Grill set comes with a variety of ingredients such as chicken thigh, bratwurst sausages, pork ribs and more. You don't have to crack your brains to think of your order and get to enjoy a little of everything!

Exclusively to the Bugis outlet, these recently launched Mookata Cheesy Grill Sets ($57.90 for 2-3 pax, $64.90 for 3-4pax) will make any diner go weak on their knees. With the premium meat and seafood that comes with the set plus the ring of creamy mozzarella and cheddar cheese surrounding the dome, this is comfort food for the soul.

So-so. They have alacarte or buffet one. Selection of vegetables is not that variety. Sauce was not spicy & meats were salty. Around $23.5 per pax for lunch buffet. Rating: 2.5/5

One of the best Mookata I've eaten! The pork soup is good by adding in the sweet corn! Portion is also quite big for 4 pax and the taste is good! They have this exhaust pipe which helps to suck some of the smoke emitted from the cooking but still will smell a bit after the meal. Price is reasonable as well. About $30 per pax

We also got to try out the 🧀🧀🧀 Cheesy Mookata Set which features melted mozzarella and cheddar cheese which you can dip your fav meat or ingredients in. The cheese was thick and fragrant, just how we liked it to be. Thanks to @kenpgl and @singaporefoodlisting for the invite and @mookatathaibbq for hosting us! I have never had thai mookata before and i must say the experience is good.
We had the set for 2 which included a variety of meat and vegetables such as chicken thigh, streaky bacon, pork belly, chinese cabbage, xiao bai cai and golden mushrooms. The environment is good too with the air conditioning and exhaust pipes sucking up the smoke. Good for groups and people who want to experience the thai mookata at the convenient Bugis area.
