We had a nice surprise when the tarts came. Instead of 1 huge tart, we had 5 mini bite sized tarts. The matcha was balanced well, not too sweet-just like how we liked it. The filling was warm and really nice.
The flat white was pretty good too!:)

Pleasantly surprised by this beautiful floral arrangement on my Foie Gras Don 🌸 at @maisonikkoku! The Foie Gras was perfectly executed with a creamy centre and slightly crispy outer shell, blending well with the slightly savoury and mildly spicy sauce~ Oh so sinful, but so good! 😍💜💜💜

Only gripe is that the portion is a little small for $32, but I guess you're paying for art? 😝

Dim lighting, bar-ish cafe (they actually do have a bar upstairs). Unsure whether it is temporary, but the opening time changed to 10 am. Service was okay, although it did took some time for the f&b to arrive

Salted caramel French toast (22 sgd)-quite hefty of a price for a french toast. The type where it isnt custardy on its own and gets the creaminess from everything around it. Could have been better 3.5/5

Maison ikkoku latte (7 sgd)-im fine as long as it's not acidic, this one is good.

Gone are the days of wondering where to eat before hitting your favourite bars. Places like Maison Ikkoku are coming up with comforting dishes like this King Prawn Udon that satisfies with its Lobster broth—not too thick and overwhelming, yet still flavourful. The two king prawns are giant and a little difficult to eat (definitely needs getting your fingers a little messy). Unlike most udon noodles served at udon eateries these noodles are flat, but soft and chewy nonetheless. The soup has a very mild spicy flavour that just tickles the tastebuds and may not even be apparent to those that like to consume spicy dishes regularly. A satisfying portion to get the appetite ready for some cocktails.

$23 for such a beautiful bespoke Cocktail. One or two is never enough! 😀 #burpple

Had chai latte which was mild and not too sweet. The pandan durian cake was surprisingly fluffy and light. The durian taste was not too overpowering. I found the matcha fondant cake a little too sweet though
