I recently visited Hiryu to experience their lunch Omakase, and it was nothing short of exceptional. The meal began with a warm and comforting crab chawanmushi, setting the tone for what was to come.
Next up was the 8-course sushi selection, each piece meticulously prepared right in front of us. The freshness and quality of the ingredients were undeniable, making each bite a delight.
The highlight for me was the chopped toro hand roll, featuring luxurious bluefin tuna belly crowned with creamy uni—absolutely divine.
To round off the meal, we enjoyed a bowl of miso soup and a delicate clear jelly with peanuts for dessert.
What an incredible dining experience! I can’t wait to return and relive it all over again.
I got the four-course lunch menu, and it was a culinary delight from start to finish.
For starters, I began with the scallops and cold angel hair pasta. The cold angel hair pasta, paired with caviar, was a my personal favourite
For the main course, I opted for the grilled lobster with the BĂ©arnaise sauce. For dessert I got the was a bavarois of Earl Grey, a true delight for Earl Grey lovers.
The service throughout the meal was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyment of the experience. Each course was expertly crafted and delivered with care, making it a memorable dining experience.
The claypot hokkien mee is a dish that hits all the right notes. The prawns are super fresh, deshelled, and cleaned properly—perfect for those who don’t want to get their hands dirty. The dish has that wok hei goodness, giving that smoky, charred flavor, which goes perfectly with the sweet seafood. Confirm worth a try if you’re a fan of prawn noodles!
I also ordered the ngoh hiang taste platter, which comes with an assortment of delicious ingredients like prawn crackers, ngoh hiang rolls, fish cake, and fried bean curd. Each bite is packed with flavor, making it a must-try side to go with your noodles
