π Pistachio Tiramisu ($14)
This is really worth a try esp for Pistachio lovers!!! Was really soft and fragrant, and I particularly loved the pistachio ganache within which was thick and came with a strong pistachio flavour!!
Pistachio Donut ($5)
This flavour really got me excited, but sadly ithe pistachio wasn't as thick/ strong compared to the one in the tiramisu. It's a decent one, but I'd prefer the pistachio filling to come with a stronger punch of Pistachio flavour π€.
Torta Pasqualina (Easter Special) ($9)
Homemade savoury pie filled with ricotta cheese, spinach and egg. Personally really enjoyed this pie, as the cheese flavour was pretty good and light, but the pie crust lacked layers of flakiness and was just pretty stale.
Roman Schiacciata ("Flat Pizza") ($10 - Small)
We picked the Truffle, Mascarpone, Pecorino Cheese one, which had raving reviews, but this was pretty disappointing. You could barely taste the truffle, and the cream was pretty little. Apparently there used to be a lot more cream, and standards have dropped.
Grilled Octopus ($34)
Can skip this - it was way too tough and chewy for our liking.
Rice Suppli ($9)
Basically an Italian Rice Ball, usually made with arborio rice and mozzarella, and this was q a simple one, which was just alright for me but some may love it. It's also slightly different from Arancini because Arancini usually has additional stuffed peas/ meat, compared to Suppli.
π Porchetta (S - $9, L - $18)
This is definitely a must-try when you're here - we got their Large portion, and this Baked Pork Belly stuffed with Wild Fennel is still as crispy as remembered, and as tender and flavourful compared to 5 years ago when I first tried it.
Tiramisu Pie ($16++)
I tried this before the lemon meringue, and I really liked the tiramisu flavour! But this really took the backseat once I had the lemon meringue pie.
The pie here was quite dry and didn't have much flavour - wouldn't mind to remove the pie entirely, and just serve tiramisu π.
Desserts:
Amalfi Lemon Meringue Pie ($16++)
This was good! The lemon was surprisingly not really tangy, and the pie was of the flaky kind with layers similar to millefeuille. Overall paired with the basil cream, this was q a delight to have.
Publico Tiramisu ($15)
The Tiramisu was complimentary as it was for a birthday, and oh my this was really good. Made with espresso, pure cocoa, coffee liqueur, you could definitely taste the alcohol, but it's not too overpowering, and had a good flavour balance with the really smooth and creamy mascarpone. Couldn't stop helping ourselves to more, and the cookies on top also added good crunch and flavour!
It's definitely not the most wallet-friendly here, but for the quality you are getting, and also for the amazing service we had, it's definitely a place I'd recommend, and wouldn't mind heading back for!
Calamari & Cauliflower Fritti ($20)
This side came as a really huge bowl that's great for sharing. The Lemon and Coper Aioli was also a pretty flavorful dip that we finished even before the calamari and cauliflower π€. The batter was really crispy and the cauliflower was also pretty crunchy π€€.
Crab "Mamma Rosa" Rigatoni ($34)
There's a generous amount of crab meat, and I enjoyed the entire flavour of this dish! There's a slight seafood taste from the crab, mixed with tomato and ricotta, and served with their house made rigatoni pasta.
