Gyozasan_singapore specialises in GYOZAS and their mennu are specially curated using only chicken! No Pork and No Lard!

Featured here are the following two items:
-Gyoza-San Chilli Crab Bento x 3 original Gyozas ($12.90): I freaking LOVE THIS sooo much! If you love spicy food, you HAVE to get this! The chilli crab sauce was super shiok! Plus an onsen egg was given, so imagine oozy egg + spicy shiok chilli crab sauce with very meaty crab meat = SUPER GOOD COMBINATION! Highly recommend this! Ate up every scoop of my food! This set comes with 3 original crispy gyozas on the side too!

-Special Unagi Gyoza ($7.50 for 6 pieces): This was so so unique! Where else can you can find a gyoza that has unagi and chopped chicken? The sauce given to accompany this gyoza was also different from the original one, it was a sweet dipping sauce. There were visible bits of unagi in the gyoza. I LOVE IT SO MUCH!

Gyoza-San also offers island-wide delivery now! Order their food from this link - order.gyozasan.com

Toasts from @coffeebreakamoy !

I have been wanting to try their toasts for some time already!

Got the black sesame and taro creme ($3.50 each) to try!

Between the two, I actually preferred the black sesame! For the sole reason that I did not expect that the taro creme one to be more like BUTTER CREAM? And I do not really fancy the creamy butter cream! I was expecting taro orh nee texture? LOL! I was also surprised that the Taro Creme came with a slab of butter as well!

For the two toasts we got, their crispiness varied, so it seemed like the toasting of bread slices isnt very consistent. The Taro Creme one was crispier than the black sesame toast!

They have other flavours like peanut butter, hazelnut cocoa, ciannmon sugar, earl grey creme and raspberry almond creme (all at $3.50 each). Otherwise, there is also the classic flavour of kaya butter, butter sugar and butter only (at $3 each).

Tip: Come with a friend, order the two toasts separately, using shopback, and you can get 10% shopback credits confirmed straight away when you make your second order :)

Sichuan Cuisine at @tongfujusichuan !

They have recently launched a new GRILLED FISH + SI CHUAN FOOD buffet menu! For the price of $39.80+/pax ($16.80+/child), you get to order the grilled fish + many different sichuan food cuisine!

Featured here are the following items:
-Grilled Fish in Pickled Cabbage flavours, with add-on sides of tofu skin, potato, black fungus, cabbage and king oyster mushroom. The fish was super fresh and very tender meat! Love the refreshing suancai soup too! Good choice of soup flavour if your dining party does not take super duper spicy food! Add on the vegetables, mushrooms and tofu to make it a very comforting filling meal!
-Shredded pork with chilli and garlic sauce: This was super fragrant! Super nice to eat with just plain white rice!

Chilli Crab Crawfish from @kiap_crawfish !

These crawfishes are freshly harvested, locally farmed and sustainably produced in SIngapore!

Featured here is the chilli crab crawfish!♥️Chilli crab is the favourite choice of sauce for crabs, but have you tried it with crawfish?

The crawfish was fresh, sweet and succulent! The sweet spicy chilli crab sauce was super fragrant and tasty! While the mantou may appear overfried, it wasnt hard or chaotah at all. In fact it was fried to perfection, outside crispy and the inner bun still soft and moist! 👍🏻Dip the mantou into the chilli crab sauce to enjoy the burst of flavours in your mouth! 💥

If you will like to try these locally produced crawfishes, do check out @kiap_crawfish at Shenton Foodhall at Shenton House now! Delivery service is also available - whatsapp them at 8771 4410 to place your orders!

Ice cream!! Finally dropped by to check out @creme_and_cone at lau pa sat @foodfolks.sg !

Tried the lychee raspberry and grapefruit strawberry sorbet flavours! Got the cup instead of cone as I didn't fancy messy ice cream cone eating. Choosed the lychee raspberry, which is my top 2 favourite flavour choices (besides pistachio). But this version was more creamy and heavy than I expected. Quite like the grapefruit strawberry sorbet though! Interesting choice of grapefruit ingredient which I don't often see much elsewhere. The sorbet was also not too sour. However, both scoops melted way too fast even though the weather was not super hot? It was the first time ever that i had to finish up the last scoops of ice cream by drinking it up haha.

But with that said, lots of flavours to choose from, and it is 1 for 1 with burpplebeyond! Plus there are proper table and chair seatings right beside at the laupasat hawker centre for diners who are not fully vaccinated.

Waited monthssss to try this Korio donuts. The donuts came highly recommended by a colleague so I thought I should check it out. Throwback to a few months back, I missed the pre order cut off timing, but still decided to go down when the stall just opened to try to see if I could get any walk in donuts order. Despite arriving early, there were no donuts available for me to get because they weren't ready / there just weren't any donuts available for walk in that day 🤷🏻‍♀️ (don't ask me why the info given at the counter was diff from the info I got from IG msging them earlier).

Ok so now back to today. Managed to order using their pre order system (web opens for pre order at 3pm for self collection / takeaway the next day onwards).

Got the white chocolate coconut with hazelnuts ($5) after reading many reviews.

After trying it, I must say it wasn't super WOW?? The donuts were nice, much like Krispy Kreme. The glaze was even better than Krispy kreme's original sugar glaze. But I thought that was just about it. There wasn't a spark which made me feel like I want to eat it again 🤭 the coconut taste was also kind of faint for me.

But with that said, if you want nice donuts, do check out this place. Nicer than places like Dunkin donut. Although I think I still prefer the normal sugar glazed Krispy Kreme (which is half the price)

One of those places that I have visited countless times! Have been dining at Babasan from their novena outlet to their circular road outlet! And I was back here again as part of my birthday celebratory meals! Hehe it is becoming an annual event! But somehow, always gravitating back to the same few orders - top favourites include this unagi garlic fried rice($20+). But urh on this particular day of visit, the garlic fried rice wasn't vv fragrant? And I just kept commenting to dining companion that it "tastes like tzechar fried rice"?! Lol. As in this garlic fried rice should have been more garlicky buttery fragrant and a notch above the average tzechar fried rice.

Tried the seafood mentaiko pasta ($18+) as well out of natural elimination as I try to get food of similar value when using Burpplebeyond's 1 for 1 to maximise savings 🤭 will recommend to share this dish and not to eat it by oneself as it did get kind of jelat for me. And also, somehow I couldn't tel whether the scallops/clams were sandy or is it because of the mentaiko. It just had a very weird sandy/crunchy feeling which irked me and I ended up eating more of the salmon fish instead of the clams/salmons. So if you are afraid of having sandy seafood like me, get their other dishes instead! My initial plan was actually to try the mother of all wok porridge ($28+), but the price was too high and we didn't want to have 2 of the same dish. Used the mains+drinks 1 for 1 voucher here and got 2 canned drinks for the meal too!

Finally visited cafe milligram! It was on my wishlist for the longest time. But they are only open on weekdays 8am-8pm and I always couldn't rush there in time by Fri night. Great brunch served here! Had the chicken karage burger, truffle delights, iced peach tea and iced mocha. The chicken karage burger came with charcoal buns, juicy fried chicken karage with tasty jap mayo sauce, purple cabbage coleslaw and sweet potato fries!! Truth to be told, it was this dish that attracted me to this place, and specifically those sweet potato fries 🤩 the purple cabbage coleslaw kinda tasted like kfc's salad (in a good way) such that I could eat a small spoonful of it when I don't eat veg haha. The truffle delights was part of the breakfast menu, and the only breakfast item that was still served during lunch. And it seemed to be quite a popular item too! It was basically a bread toast with scrambled eggs, sauteed mushrooms and tatter tots with a slight taste of truffle! Will prefer to have more truffle taste to it! We used the Burpplebeyond 1 for 1 mains+drinks order (because dehydrated from cycling trip around the city haha)!

In this next series of mooncakes I have tried this year, featured here is the assorted snowskin mooncake from Crowne Plaza Hotel @cpchangiairport . Each box comes with 4 assorted flavours ($74) that are very unique to Singapore! Ranked according to my preference:

🌸 Mango pomelo: contains white lotus paste, mango, pomelo

I love how it is midly sweet to balance out the slight bitterness of the pomelo

🌸 Orh Nee: Yam paste with gingko nut

Smoothy creamy fragrant yam paste!!

🌸 Pandan Kaya: Pandan paste and kaya jam

Very fragrant coconut custard that goes super well with the Kaya jam

🌸Kueh salat: pandan paste and white glutinous rice

This pandan paste was similar to the pandan Kaya one. But the inner core of the frozen white glutinous rice seems to be an acquired taste.

Stocks are still available at their Change Alley Booth! Do check them out if you are interested to try this uniquely Singapore snowskin mooncake flavours!🤗

Ordered the Baked char siew bao which is sold at 1 for $2.20 or 3 for $5.80! But comparing this to Tim ho wan, I prefer Tim ho wan's! Canton paradise's version didn't have the buttery crumbly top, instead it was just a super thin layer which made it taste like any other charsiewbao bread.. #burpple #burpplesg #shopbackgo #shopbackgosg #cantonparadise #cantonparadisesg #charsiewbao #bakedcharsiewbao #food #foodiesg #sgfoodie #whati8today #8dayseat #foodie #iweeklyfood #foodporn #foodstagram #vscofood #foodphotography #sgmakan #sgmakandiary #sgfoodstagram #singaporeeats #exploresingaporeeats #exploresg #whatsgoodhere #foodtrails #sgfoodies #sgeats

There is a wide range of pizzas available here. My top few choices will be: (1) takoyaki - imagine eating takoyaki but in a Pizza form! (2) lemak no nasi - do note that the chilli sauce used is quite spicyy (at least for me)! (3) sashimi - first time seeing sashimi, with hugeee IKURA on a pizza! (4) under the sea. Special mention to the mala madness pizza as well (it looked super delicious me, but I chickened out coz I can only take 微辣 for mala, but dinner companions said this was 中辣 level! If you loveee mala, do try this!). #burpplebeyond 5th pizza+ drink deal is only available till 31 jul 2019! #burpple #depizza #food #foodiesg #sgfoodie #whati8today #8dayseat #vscofoodie #iweeklyfood #foodporn #foodstagram #vscofood #foodphotography #sgmakan #sgmakandiary #sgfoodstagram #singaporeeats #exploresingaporeeats #exploresg #whatsgoodhere #foodtrails #sgfoodies #sgeats
