Not the best experience here. Food was expensive and portions were TINY. Servers werenāt really attentive and got our orders mixed up multiple times. Food was OK but not worth the price paid. Compared to Joie, this really pales in comparison. Would rather pay extra to dine in Joie again.
Used #burpplebeyond for this. Great ambience & friendly staff. Lamb shank was a new addition on their menu & it was recommended by the lady boss. Base reminded me abit of Mariana spaghetti? Filling & satisfying. Will be back to try the other items on their menu!
Amazing place for pizzas and pastas tucked away in Katong V!! My favourite pizza/pasta place now actually. The Beef Ragu ($19+) was the best Iāve had. The tagliatelle and actually all their bases are handmade and you can truly taste the difference. Beef was cooked in red wine and it was the perfect pairing. Really springy and tasty, a must go for pasta & pizza lovers. Their truffle pizza was super good too. Service was also amazing, Iāve nothing to complain about!
When I saw this item on the menu I knew I just had to get it because I love foie gras in any form! The French Affection - Ribeye was a 280g Black Angus Ribeye served with sautƩed Spinach and crispy Sweet Potato Chips which hit everything well. It comes at a price tag of $32 and Foie Gras was an additional $6, bringing the dish to $38++ The ribeye was cooked well to a medium rare as requested and the foie gras was a tad small but yummy anyway. Nice place for a relaxing brunch on a Sunday morning, was really quiet and nice and the service was impeccable too!
Going at $22, the Full Works definitely did keep me full enough till dinner! The scrambled eggs and mushrooms atop the broiche bread was cooked well, eggs with the right consistency and mushrooms with the right flavour. Pommes de Noisettes (really just potato balls lol) were fried well too! Really nice ambience in the middle of the beautiful National Museum. Served ice cream sandwiches too which was a great end to my brunch!
Truffle fries were good; fries were handcut and there was a decent truffle aroma on each fry. Their famous mac&cheese was also pretty yummy though it was a little overbearing so do share it! The calamari was a huge miss, tasted like refrigerated food. In all, Little Diner serves up decent cafe food and normal cafe prices. Was quit when I went on a weekday afternoon and the place was quite nice for a chill afternoon.
Long John's Silvers recently released a whole new range of meals - Chili Crab & Salted Egg dishes where sauces are drizzled on their usual menu items. Got this meal of 2 piece chicken with 3 shrimps drizzled with a generous serving of Salted Egg Yolk sauce accompanied by LJS's amazingly crispy fries (that are so underrated) at $6.30, their promotional price. I've to admit it did get a little gelat at the end of the meal but it was still so good, I love their batter! Do give it a try, I feel that LJS is a really underrated chain which actually serves up one of the best fries out there.
For a limited time only, WINGSTOP is having a special promotion for 20 wings, only at $16.90 ON TUESDAYS! It's really a good deal considering how wingstop price their wings usually. You get to choose up to 4 flavours for your 20 wings! I got the wings in Louisiana Rub, Oriental Soy & Parmesan Cheese. Parmesan Cheese always sounds great but the wings were not so great. I highly recommend the Lousiana rub, like just get all 20 of that! Ok just kidding but it's really good! How the dry flavours blend together to create a medley of spices in your mouth. The JalapeƱo Cheese fries @ ($4.95) were awesome too! š Definitely head down to Wingstop on a Tuesday to grab 20 wings @ such a great price! Takeaways are allowed too! šš»
Finally visited the (once) raved about Western Co. Kudos to the new (& very young) management for trying to provide good service with smiles despite the peak period. Visited on a Sunday noon time, and it was almost full house. Ordered the Ying Yang Signature Combo for $20.90 including a $5 raclette cheese top up along with Chicky Burger $16.90 & Chicken with Shiitake Mushroom Sauce $9.90. I understand that they were pretty much understaffed & it got to a point where orders were mixed up & customers who ordered later got their food earlier than customers who ordered way earlier. 45 minutes into my wait after placing my order, one dish appeared. 1 hour later, (I'm not kidding), another dish arrived and yet another 1 hour 20 minutes later, the last dish (finally) arrived. The staff did come over to apologise for the wait but to be honest such a long wait is really unacceptable considering how the crowd started to clear out after awhile. When my signature Ying Yang combo came, it came without the raclette cheese I paid $$$ to top up for and they had to take it to the back again to scrape the cheese off the wheel. & they took another 5 minutes to do so. Food was substandard & below average & definitely not worth the prices paid. Nothing worth raving about. If the management wants to make it, they definitely have to do something about the way they're managing the order flow, no one is going to wait an hour for a battered fish...
Recently opened in Viva Business Park @ Chai Chee, Andes is a halal branch of popular western food chain Astons. The food served here is inexpensive, fresh & of consistent quality. Double Up Chicken ($14.50) comes with two sides (potato salad is awesome!). Prices here are nett too :)
Decent fries tossed in truffle oil littered with parmesan cheese! Really yummy! ($7+)
Beef Burger ($14.90+) Tender on the inside yet crispy on the outside! Amazing brioche bun smothered with butter. Beef patty itself was substantial, yet a tad dry for my liking. It supposedly comes with a side of truffle fries but I could barely taste any hints of truffle. Overall it was still a nice experience at the newly opened nordic cafe in the heart of Bedok!
