Chicken 🍗

This place serves a handsome of Hakka Cuisine such as Hakka Yong Tau Foo, Steamed Yam With Pork and etc. But, the highlight here is their famous Paper Wrapped Chicken. Once the paper was torn apart, the fragrance and aroma starts rising up into your nostrils, teasing your senses. The meat is fork tender and very flavourful.

You would think that for my birthday I would want a fancy meal, and a fancy cake, in a fancy restaurant. Nope!! I would prefer if someone would surprise me with a box of piping hot fried chicken.🍗

For me, this goes to my list as one of the finger-lickin'est fried chicken in the world. The reason why their chicken speaks to me is that theirs taste healthy. It is lightly battered and not greasy, yet maintaining its moisture and juiciness with the right amount of seasoning in it.

In my humble opinion, this is equally good if not better than the fast food chain who created the slogan "finger lickin' good" *cough cough*

Sizzling hot slab of chicken on a hot plate with splashes of juice bouncing up into the air. The grilled chicken is juicy, has a smoky flavor and 'Chow Ta' (charred) grill marks underneath it, which I personally like. This dish is served with a simple piece of salmon (they ran out of salmon hence Dory🐠 was sacrificed here) and fresh vegetables. I recommend their black pepper gravy, but if you have a low tolerance to spicy food, opt for their mushroom sauce. Get the gravy pouring and eat your heart out.

2 is better than 1. This plate comes with 2 different style cooked meat. 1 which is fried and another grilled. The crispy battered chicken is fried till it's golden brown yet still remain succulent inside. On the other hand, the grilled version has smokey flavour to it which goes well their 'shiok' black peppery sauce. Served with roasted vegetables and a side of thickly cut wedges or mash potatoes, I guarantee you will walk away with a full stomach like a stuffed thanksgiving turkey🦃 ! (Rm26.9)
