Gourmet Adventures In Seoul
Fell upon this quiet little eatery at the back of Gangnam Exit 5's Paris Baguette while on the way to Meal Rice, and so glad we did! The kimchi stew is rich and robust, thicker than the stew we had at Meal Rice [and cheaper too], and thankfully, less spicy too! Loved the kimchi so much we finished a second dish of it. #GourmetAdventuresInSeoul
.Went exploring Seolleung neighborhood today and chanced upon this quaint family-run eatery. This cold noodle dish of vegetables and Korean spicy sauce is deliciously chewy, accompanied by a very tasty pork bulgogi! There's also a free flow of banchan and hot soup. 맛있는! #GourmetAdventuresInSeoul
Tonight, we decided to make our own burritos with Kkanbu's Korean fried chicken and shoestring fries. Homemade salsa with some serious fried chicken... so darned good! 🌯🍟 #GourmetAdventuresInSeoul
These almonds are beyond any we've ever had. We're not a fan of wasabi, but these wasabi nuts are perfect, coated with a subtle wasabi powder that makes it so incredibly indulgent!
The honey butter nuts are not cloyingly rich, but just the right combination of creamy butter and honeyed sweetness.
Give us a carton of these and we'll love you forever. 😝😍 #bestthingever #GourmetAdventuresInSeoul
We've developed a big love for Korean banchan, especially for these delicious pickled eggs, so today we decided to pickle our own eggs! Here's how to prepare pickled quail eggs in 6 simple steps.
Recipe:
1. Boil the quail eggs for 5-6 minutes.
2. De-shell the eggs and place in a jar.
3. Combine soy, sugar, garlic and vinegar. [Note that too much garlic will make the mixture bitter.] Bring to a boil and simmer.
4. Pour the braised liquid into the jar.
5. Add chili as desired.
6. Seal the lid shut. Refrigerate for 3-5 days and it's ready to eat.
Enjoy! 😄 #mandylynnskitchen #GourmetAdventuresInSeoul
Seoul has seriously some of the best churros we've ever had. These Street Churros are crisp and chewy, coated with just the right amount of cinnamon sugar, served with vanilla soft serve ice cream and chocolate sauce. #GourmetAdventuresInSeoul
Chilling out this Sunday morning with some freshly baked cranberry and almond scones! Wish you guys could smell how amazing this is!! #GourmetAdventuresInSeoul
Sunchang ssamjang chicken steak bathed in garlic mince, black pepper mushroom steak, sunny side up egg, red and yellow cherry tomatoes, and of course, kimchi on the side.

Oh how I adore banchan, especially kimchi! Been craving for kimchi since yesterday, so I was up early this morning to head out to get this homemade kimchi [and got tempted by the pickled quail eggs so I got them as well].
Seriously love how the kimchi here is so different from Singapore's. Whether it's the climate or temperature, I don't know. But what I do know is this: kimchi here has the perfect taste and crunch, and a whole variation of spice levels to choose from! And goodness, quail eggs pickled with jalapeños... such joy! #GourmetAdventuresInSeoul
Superlife Co.'s mixed quinoa, broccoli, bean sprouts, leafy greens, red and yellow cherry tomatoes, walnut, and a perfect soft boiled egg. #mandylynnskitchen #GourmetAdventuresInSeoul
So glad I managed to find a lovely basket of these plump red and tells cherry tomatoes that are just bursting with flavor! #mandylynnskitchen
Despite having barely enough space in our luggage for warm clothes and what-nots, we couldn't imagine living without Superlife Co.'s delicious quinoa and chia seeds. So we packed it and flew it to Seoul, and they're now comfortably nestled amongst our shelves!
