The most comforting Hot & Sour soup and the crunchiest Guo Tie (pan-fried dumplings) in the hood!

Good for two to share, plenty of meat and veg to go around. Soup was gently peppered with a delicate porky flavour. Request for the "ma-la" chilli if you like more oooompf. Exactly what I need after an entire week of binge eating my way through Melbourne. š
The other impressive soup-based prawn noodles (apart from my favourite one at siglap). So much similarities between the two, each with their own specialty.
Strong broth made of prawns and pork bones, pork ribs were gelatinous and fork tender. No kuay teow sold here, so I opted for thick white bee hoon instead, which was equally satisfying. The meal's not complete if you don't order the "ngoh hiang" (background)!

Happened to walk past this chowder joint and couldn't resist snagging myself a bowl. (best decision made today)
Seattle Pike's New England Clam Chowder, rich, creamy, and every spoonful is full of fat clam chunks and tender potatoes. Tad pricey compared to your usual soup bowls, but this one screams quality and is the kind of hot concoction you'd crave on a cold rainy day. [couldn't properly locate the geo-tag, but for those of you interested, it's in Marine Parade Central, just infront of McDonald's!]

Probably one of the best chicken broth ramen in Singapore! The kind that doesn't leave your lips feeling overly oily after. Springy thin strands of ramen, a single extremely tender slice of chasiu, seaweed and spring onions. The onsen egg was an additional add-on order, roasted garlic chips served on the table as a condiment (which you may or may not want to pile on, depending on who you're meeting after the meal). I, of course, gladly spooned in a couple of scoops into my broth, speak to me at your own risk š

This hidden gem does one of my favourite Korean meals in Singapore. Kimchi Tofu Stews aren't fancy to look at, but they sure are spicy and comforting. This one's bulked up with a flavourful stock, enoki mushrooms, firm tofu, chicken chunks, egg, scallions and vermicelli.
Furthermore, if you dine between 1130-1500hrs daily, all their set lunches go at 12.9bucks per serving, which includes a whopping 8 side dishes and two slices of fruit after your meal.

Tomato soups to me have always been a real bore, it's something I think most restaurants have on the menu just cause it's one of those "mandatory" items.
Tonight @arentijustawesome didn't change my perception, but she sure did make this bangin' Smoked Tomato concoction, superbly flavourful, great amount of tang and spice. Well done my dear, this is another of those "proud mama" moments I'm having again watching these talented kids outdo themselves time and again xxx
They're serving this at @artichoke_sg alongside a couple of Grilled Cheese Sandwiches for "Dude, Where's My Food?" week, up till this Saturday only.
