Taco ‘bout a feast – 12 Asian-inspired tacos chockful of ingredients brimming with umami and richness. Variety is the name of the game here – we had Torikatsu Curry Chicken, Kombu Sweet Potato and Mushroom, Pork Belly Sisig, and Sukiyaki Beef amongst others. What we liked most were the clean tasting yet bold flavours of the Roast Beef and Vietnamese Cha Ca Cod tacos, the former a perfectly pink, tender medium rare and coated in herbaceous salsa verde, the latter, filled with crunchy fried fried cod and a veritable flavour party with sriracha mayo, dill, mint, charred scallions, crushed peanuts and coriander.

The meaty highlight of Artichoke's refreshed menu for many of us was the Iberico Pork Collar, featuring thick, marbled slabs of achingly soft grilled pork covered in icky, sticky caramel cola sauce spiked with shallot bulbs. Mad good.

Nothing like seeing big hunks of grilled meat on a stick to work up the appetite. The garlic fennel spice-rubbed pork collar is big on strong flavours (which I like very much), nicely contrasted by the mellow pineapple sauce.

Bust your gut not your wallet with Muchachos' ginormous burritos. Their soft and supple steamed tortillas are stuffed to the seams with heapfuls of tender chunks of well-marinated grilled chicken, seasoned rice grains, beans, creamy guacamole and cheese.
And holy Hermanos! Come Friday 29th Sep, Muchachos will be celebrating their fourth anniversary with an insane ALL DAY 1-for-1 on their entire menu, including drinks too!

If you have the cojones, sign up to bury as many burritos in your belly as you can in 5 minutes and the winner gets to take home some cold, hard plata to the tune of $200. Not up for that admittingly delicious sounding challenge? You can always watch by the sidelines as competitive eater Zermatt Neo attempts to inhale a 2.27kg burrito in 5 minutes. Schadenfreude and burritos? I'd be down for that.

The gods demand meat for the flesh throne, and with this most carnivorous of offerings, they are appeased. Sate your bloodlust with hapless mini sliders, fried chicken wings, lamb chops, pork sausages and fries. Easily feeds a ravenous horde of 3-4 people.

The chicken battered with aromatics is a little on the dry side but it's nothing that can't be fixed with a good squeeze of lime and a right proper dousing in the killer green chilli nam jin sauce.

My heart skipped a few beats upon seeing this, but all that cardio was for nought -- somehow the heavy maple honey glazed donut and admittedly tender but just a little bland pulled pork didn't quite work for me. Maybe it was the soft on soft textures and muted flavours relative to all the other great grub I've had here.

Don't mezze around with this bird, because she's packing a za'atar spiced, honey lemon kissed flavour punch. That creamy garlic toum whip on the side? Works amazingly on the meat as well. So what are you waiting for? Thyme to get your ass down because it's goddamn chicken tonight.

Whilst the crawfish did a perfunctory job, it was eclipsed by the addictive af bits of smoked bacon scattered throughout the very nicely cheesy macaroni. I enjoyed the addition of dill which lent a refreshingly light herbal finish to each bite too.

I remember enjoying this the last time I ordered it, but not so much on my latest visit. The brined and Old Bay spiced chicken wasn't particularly remarkable in any way, and the house gravy which I normally love was too salty. Maybe it was an off day, or perhaps the newly introduced Lebanese Fried Chicken might just have set the bar too high.

Think za'atar spiced Lebanese Fried Chicken served with vampire-slaying toum garlic whip and battered Bangkok Fried Chicken turning up the heat with green chilli nam jin sauce.

The southern-fried focus continues with Crawfish Mac & Cheese, sriracha doused Sticky Fries, Cornbread Waffles and Chunky Mash Potatoes & Gravy.

If all that seems like a triple bypass just waiting happen, assuage yourselves with healthy greens from their daily selections such as the three bean, and potato salads.

There's also a special shelf packed with a variety of hot sauces where you can avail yourself of liquid chilli ranging from relatively mild to ring of fire inducing morning afters.

I know where I'll be heading to the next time I feel like a finger-lickin' good time.

Barely fitting between toasty golden buns, the sizeable breaded pork cutlet is extra crunchy outside and juicy within, its flavour further enhanced by the slight funk of the fermented bean curd it was marinated in. Not in a bad way mind you, rather, that indefinable tangy umaminess one gets from cheese.

The burger itself was good enough that I didn't pay much mind to the rather nondescript accompanying sauce and fries.
