there are so many cafes in this area i have to check all of them out soon oh my! anyway, i had the Beef Bolognese ($12.90) + Soup & Drink Set ($4.90) (Cream of Tomato & Mango Fizz) for dinner. the taste of capsicum and red peppers was really strong. not the best pasta, but i guess for this price, it was alright. the cream of tomato was not bad, it had a taste of sour cream which i liked. the cheesy garlic bread at the side was something interesting, compared to the usual plain garlic bread.
in this picture also included the Smoked Duck Aglio Olio ($14.90), Tom Yum Seafood Pasta ($14.90) [which is their recommended but i'd say it was alright, i could cook that at home myself] and the Chicken Chop ($13.90).
had the Pesto Chicken Penne ($14) for lunch. though the presentation of this dish wasn't great, the flavour was definitely something. Montana's homemade Pesto sauce was š the shredded chicken could've been less dry though. nowadays everything is about presentation, so i hope Montana changes the look of their pasta dishes!
in this picture also includes the Spicy Bacon Pasta ($14).
Tomato Sausage pasta ($15). Sorry for the bad picture, I had to eat it straightaway because I was shopping at the Nike Factory Outlet before the food came! Presentation was actually alright. This pasta was a mixture of Sausage, Bacon & Beef Chorizo with Chilli Tomato Sauce. I liked the tinge of spice in the sauce, it made the dish more tasteful. Chorizo tasted good, well cooked. The sauce was seasoned very well, it wasn't bland at all. A great place to have a meal after a day of shopping at the factory outlets here @ Changi City Point!
Pasta with soft shell crab. Pasta tasted a little bland, but it also tasted sweeter than usual? The soft shell crab had more batter than crab meat, which I was very disappointed about. It was like there wasn't any crab meat at all. This dish was a let down :(
(Supposedly) Fusilli Salmone ($15.80). It originally had thai basil sauce, but I requested for tomato cream, and they did it. Thumbs up for their flexibility! šš¼ I was a little disappointed when I saw spaghetti instead of fusilli, as I really don't like spaghetti. But the taste of this dish was spot on. Salmon was cooked perfectly, it wasn't seasoned too much. It was also quite a generous portion! The tomato cream had loads of onions and carrots, which I love, so if you aren't a fan of those don't bother ordering tomato cream. Although a little pricey, I think this dish is pretty worth it! Oh, and also, great presentation!
Chorizo Pasta (bottom) ($11.80) & Miss Molly's Carbonara (top) ($10.80). Requested for Chorizo Pasta to be non-spicy. Tasted delicious! Carbonara tasted good!
Penne Smoked Salmon Tomato Cream (bottom) ($28), Diavola Pizza (right) ($25), Carbonara (top) ($25) & Truffled Parmasan Fries ($15) (left). Everything was pricey but it was expected as this restaurant is quite high class. Smoked Salmon pasta was really great. Carbonara tasted average. Diavola Pizza was good. Truffled Parmasan Fries was really good too! Would come back here if I had the money.
Rigatoni Pomodoro (bottom) ($12.50) & Prawn Linguine (top) ($18). Both were Small portions. Do NOT order the small portions if you are hungry as they are really small. I would have ordered the large portion if I knew. However, the Rigatoni Pomodoro tasted great, the breadcrumbs gave it a good flavour! Prawn linguine was good also!
