$17.80 - on focaccia. The sauce accompanying the pork was pretty delish everything went quite well together. Reminded me of my grandma's kongbabao.
Previously an art gallery, now transformed into a tapa bar & restaurant, serving some delicious food and a selection of more than 40 ciders or craft beers to choose from.
Featuring my favorite dish out of all that I had tried - This is a twist on traditional spaghetti aglio olio, featuring garlic, olive oil and a splash of white wine to give extra flavor, which is a great combination pairing with roasted pork. This irresistible slow-roasted pork is given a touch with the addition of "Hua Diao" wine and Chinese five spice powder in the marination that amped up the aroma and flavor. With its thick crispy skin and juicy savory meat roasted to perfection, this dish is truly a beautiful blend of east and west. Pls take note that this aglio olio is set at its lowest level of spiciness for most of the customers but you can request for more if you are someone who love to have a spicy kick.
Thank you @missdrama from @oldboysgallery for hosting and @sgfoodiary for the invitation!
Modern Singaporean cuisine takes the stage with this marinated, grilled chicken thigh, between hand made rice burger buns, with a cashew nut sauce.
Savoury with spices with freshness from the crunchy vegetables. So good!
Modern Singapore Mee Siam. An atas-ified version of it. Good idea!
Roast Chilean Bass with Liquid Nasi Lemak and Dry Sambal. How interesting eh?
The kaya/hazelnut choux pastry was an adventurous lad but may have attended one too many mega sugar rushes during the weekend. Elsewhere, the different kueh – with names ranging from the Kylie Minogue-esque “Pink Fairy” to explosively exciting ones like “Kueh Talum” and “Kueh Salat” – were reliably, coconuttingly good. 3.7/5

Chef was confident enough to say his was one of the best, said to be inspired by both Singapore and Malaysian versions. True enough, the gravy hovered somewhere in the middle – not overly rich, slight coconuty aroma, and base which was flavourful while being light.

With free flow of fragrant rice and chilli, self serving "buffet style" side selection, this is the place to go for your fix!! Open Tues-Sun 12pm-12am!! #eatwithmok #runtoeat #foodporn #sgfood #burpple
Nothing uh-mayzing. It kinda takes like Dean & Deluca's cake without the frosting. Each layer is a different flavor blue for blueberries, yellow for lemon etc. At $1.80 a piece, I wouldn't mind having some of this during family events. #marshmunch #burpple
This spacious rooftop cafe situated on the 11th floor of Pico Creative Centre in Kallang not only has great panoramic views, but also serves tasty Peranakan food at a steal. Definitely go for their fantastic Nyonya Assam Pedas Fish ($6.50) — a generous portion of fresh fish lying in an addictive gravy that goes so perfectly with rice, and their incredibly flavourful Sambal Prawns with Petai ($6.50). They serve a variety of western dishes, brunch fare, coffee and cakes as well, but it's worthwhile to just focus on satisfying your Peranakan cravings here. A great place for cheap and tasty food, you'll be asking for more gravy please, and an extra plate of rice. What's more, no service charge or GST! Note that they are closed on weekends.
