This little Portuguese restaurant serves very tasty meals. This is the first time I've eaten an octopus leg or tentacle that's tender and tasty. Really well done.
This porridge is actually made of bread with shrimps, extra virgin olive oil, fish stock and coriander. Very tasty for a "porridge".
If we had to order one item and one item only, it would be the crab cakes, without a doubt. Thick luscious chunks of fresh blue swimmer crab meat luxuriate in the mouth as butterhead lettuce—compressed to emphasize its sweetness; and mint vinaigrette to refresh the palate. Trust us when we say, you won't want to share this. And you shouldn't.
Completely boneless with a crisp golden skin and superbly moist flesh, it was a real gem. #Culina #Dempsey #burpple #trout #sgfood #sgfoodies #instafoodsg
Having carved out a reputation for very well-executed signatures like the French Duck Confit, Mushroom Risotto and Pulled Duck Burger, I am really pleased that Chef Shaun isn't resting on his laurels. Instead, he continues to create new reasons to keep his customers returning. A fine example is this "Giant Prawn Risotto", a soon-to-be-launched dish on his "Secret Menu" that is more than aptly named.
I have happily slurped up the yummy Prawn Risotto previously, so for me, this is an upgraded, upsized, everything-also-upped version of it. Aside from the XXL prawns which bowled me over with their super fresh, firm and very sweet succulence, every chewy grain of the risotto also packed intense flavours of prawn stock and rich Parmesan. I also thought the final act of torching the dish at the table was fun and interesting.
Very creamy and packed with truffle and seafood goodness. I'd recommend sharing it with a friend as it can get a bit too jelat.
Essentially an indulgent, regal morning economic beehoon but with king prawns instead of the usual oily and unhealthy suspects, and my favourite item from my meal at The Prawn Star. While the bacon played hide and seek and only contributed its oinky scent to the proceedings, the vermicelli was utterly delicious, all fragrant and peppery. I almost wanted to say I could have the vermicelli kosong, but the massive grilled and smoky prawns (look at that manly char!) were truly the perfect companions. 4.5/5

I spotted this Bang Bang Prawn Pasta($26) from one of our #burppleeatup session.A plate of warm cappellini tossed with mayonnaise, chilli and lime with those large juicy crunchy prawns! A mixed rich flavours of spicy, tangy savoury party in my mouth!
Rather serviceable and perfunctory. Apart from being as memorable as a secretary’s story told in the elevator about how her mother prefers Hockhua antelope’s horn to other vendors in the Toa Payoh area, the seafood was curiously cut up to small chunks almost as if you were of the age that required chair-stacking before sitting. Hmmmm. 3.4/5

Lobster Claw Soup with Bird’s Nest Wonton had lots of oomph. The stock is tasty with fat and juicy bird’s nest wanton and a huge lobster claw.

I have a feeling that it has made plans to run away from my tummy.
